Vivienne Westwood designs wallpapers

When designers want to diversify the range of products they create the majority of them turn to fragrances or cosmetics. As for Grand Dame Vivienne Westwood, she decided it would be interesting to design… wallpapers.

Well, for those who love Westwood’s talent and creations this might seem a perfect idea. To realize her new project the eccentric designer teamed up with Cole & Son company.

The Dame feels excited about the work:

It is good when my ideas get carried over into other artistic media,’ says Vivienne. ‘This collection is a perfect opportunity to be able to work with a heritage company like Cole & Son and to see my ideas from fashion translated into the world of interiors and wallpaper.’

The wallpapers will include tartan prints, the cut-out lace designs and even the sun-bleached Union Jack imagery.
