Do you think everyone is having fun now, just because it is summer? No way! All the fashion designers are busy working on ad campaigns for the fall season. So are the models and photographers. Such a relief for someone like me, who hasn’t had a rest since the beginning of June. One thing I like about the ad campaigns is that they each give you a number of gorgeous outfits to admire. What seems to be even more appealing is alluring beauty of the starring models that we have a chance to enjoy. Plus, if you are planning to become a fashion model, it is a great opportunity to use the photos as a how-to-pose-like-a-supermodel manual. Whatever your goal is, I am sure you will be happy to check out the best moments of Fall 2013 ad campaigns.
Best Looks of Fall 2013 Ad Campaigns
Christian Dior, Lanvin, Jimmy Choo, Versace, and many others collaborated with fashion photographers and beautiful models to create perfect ad campaigns that would capture any lady’s attention. Looking at each of them, I find it so hard to choose the oneI like the most. So I decided to share my favorite ones with you. And who knows, maybe together, as a team of experienced fashion judges, we will come up with the number one!
Alice in Wonderland is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw Mulberry campaign featuring Cara Delevingne. Surrounded by owls and forest scenery, she seems to be so out of the world. Her outfit is contradicting with the natural background, but this was obviously Tim Walker’s intention, who did a great job and managed to create a chain of wondrous and magical shoots. I fell in love with those oxblood high heel pumps with a gold buckle on top.
Kate Moss poses naked for Versace ad campaign. If I got an offer from Versace, I wouldn’t hesitate a second and undress right way. After all, Kate is not totally naked. She tries to cover her bare skin with gorgeous handbags in black, yellow, and red. The beauty was lensed along with the Dutch model Saskia de Brauw by Mert & Marcus.
Alberta Ferretti offers a look of a tempting and seductive lady, shining in her charm. How can it be any different, when you are wandering along the streets of night Paris? Mariacarla Boscono dons a magnificent black lace gown with a delicate velvet belt. She reminded me of Cinderella, being late for the ball or running away form the bedazzled prince. Too bad we can’t see her glass slippers!
Steve Meisel photographed the British model Edie Campbell for Lanvin Fall 2013 campaign. Edie was featured in six different looks inspired by retro style. From the first glance it seems like Lanvin tapped six ladies – so unique each of the shoots is. An elegant strapless frock in black and white with matching elbow high gloves is paired with bronze ankle strap pumps and oxblood clutch. A very interesting combination, isn’t it?
Juicy Couture goes for double duo and taps Edita Vilkeviciute along with Andreea Diaconu lensed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Velvet bodysuit and long sleeved dress, both zippered all the way down to the hipline, black pumps, and a lot of jewelry – this is what the beauties sported while playing around with a fuchsia couch. Amazing handbags in black and leopard pattern completed the sexy outfits. I feel so bad for Edita’s splendid hair wiping off the floor, but looks like she doesn’t mind at all.
Mariacarla Boscono is super lucky to hold that mind-blowing clutch picturing an elegant shoe. Well, first of all she is fortunate to star in Christian Dior Fall campaign. As an addition, the Italian model is wearing fantastic suede ankle strap shoes with a graphic platform. And this sophisticated coat in deep red with an intricate collar… I am officially in love now! Elise Crombez is also featured in the ad photoshoot lensed by Willy Vanderperre.
Lancaster opted for a sultry lady ready to reveal her enticing curves. The way Daisy Lowe poses in a snowwhite skirt and a burgundy blouse, is far from being romantic. The British model represents a seductive woman, always eager to attract and allure. Guy Aroch managed to show all the passion and beauty of Lancaster queen.
Nicole Kidman is all around a talented lady. Just starring in the award-worthy movies is not enough for her – Nicole was also featured in Jimmy Choo ad campaign. Mikael Jansson got a chance to shot the beauty and both of them definitely enjoyed the time. The photographer was able to translate through the camera how Nicole felt wearing those saucy ankle boots and black spaghetti strap dress. We can enjoy an image of a luxurious and confident woman with such a charming look that it is almost impossible to glance away.
Miu Miu is not agree with less is more statement at all. Nine(!) pretty models star in the brand’s Fall 2013 campaign, and each of them adds her own spiciness and magic to the photoshoot. Adriana Lima, Georgia May Jagger, Katlin Aas, Emily DiDonato, Daphne Groeneveld, Marina Nery, Hind Sahli, Anne Verhallen and Lindsey Wixson – wow is the only word I can breathe out! What I love the most about the ad looks is the footwear. These gorgeous shoes in pink and white with a gold t-strap along with the pink tights look so awesome, that I can’t force myself notice anything else besides them. The coats are fine and so is the black bag, but none of them makes me hold my breath in a deep affection.
Fall 2013 Creativity Award unquestionably goes to Kenzo! Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi and male model Sean O’Pry were shot in surreal poses by three photographers. Maurizio Cattelan, Micol Talso, and Pierpaolo Ferrari lensed the models as pin-dolls wearing brand’s fall collection pieces. There are no limits for Kenzo’s creative directors: people fly on a giant hand, poor dog becomes a tiger, and a hand easily transforms into a foot.
All these ad campaigns are so fabulous, that I still can’t decide on my favorite one. I hope you will succeed in your choice. Which Fall 2013 Ad Campaign did you like the most?
