Badgley Mischka collection at NYFW Spring 2009
The Badgley Mischka collection introduced Friday, September 12, at New York Fashion Week Spring 2009 proved out that reduced size could still be pretty.
Mark Badgley and James Mischka made bells and whistles smaller in their outfits presented during their runway show and special meetings with retailers, editors, and stylists in the home.
Among the best views were a cocktail dress and additional gown in a sophisticated floral print that featured blossoms with beads. There also was a yellow-and-white printed chiffon gown with beaded petals of fabric that looked like pieces of lollipop, an outfit the public couldn’t miss.
The collection is not only ready-to-wear but almost wearable all day long due to trendy short-sleeved coats to wear upon fitted cocktail dresses. The coats were a perfect wear for the office and for a glam-girl style night out.
To combine youthful look with refinement the designers presented a dove-gray guipure lace jacket and paired it with an organza dress that mixed a black-and-white floral print with a rose-and-white one.
