If you want brightness for Pre-Fall 2011 Carolina Herrera’s collection is to stay away. The designer preferred to use subtler hues and simple forms rather than splashing into sunny vividness and complicated silhouettes.
Carolina Herrera commented:
Who wants to come out in brights? I saw it had to be subtle.”
Being rather simple Carolina Herrera’s Pre-Fall 2011 collection doesn’t look dull though. It includes perfect-looking floor-length gowns in leopard and flower prints, pleated in satin, organza and wool jacquard. Cocktail dresses strike with their refinement and elegance. While the pant suit looks effortlessly beautiful.
Carolina Herrera definitely focused on daywear for her Pre-Fall 2011 range. She added a few ballgowns but emphasized the fact no one wanted to have too many ballgowns in their wardrobes.
She asked the audience:
How many ball gowns can you have?”
For me the strapless blue-grey gown cascading with chic waves is the best. Looks wonderful and isn’t that sophisticated to be worn just once in a lifetime. Ideal.
