Every girl is a shopaholic, at least deep in her soul. We want to have tons of clothing, shoes and accessories – the more, the better. But do we really need all these? Do we wear all those cute and stylish pieces? Of course, not. There are items we have donned only once or twice, and there are even absolutely new garments that we hoped to match to the ones we already had, but failed in the result.

To stop this uncontrolled shopping passion you need some advice. And this is what I’m planning to give you now. Read these tips and spend less money on clothing by buying items you really need and want.
1.If clothing fits you perfectly, buy it. Don’t think too long or you’ll regret later.
It has happened to each of us. You go shopping and find the piece you like very much, you believe it is a dream come true but for some reason you leave it and go to the next store. You hope to find something better and cheaper. However, two or three hours later you understand that you want that very piece and return to the shop just to know that someone has already bought it.
2.If you hesitate about whether to buy the item or leave it, it is better to leave it.
Do you remember the moment you were in the changing room of a clothing shop looking at yourself from different angles to make sure the skirt you chose looked good on you? Did you hesitate about buying and leaving it? Remember, if you have even a slight doubt about an item you better leave it, because you always know when the piece is yours. If you are not sure it will flatter you it is more likely to end up somewhere on the farthest shelf of your closet.
3.Fashion is not the rule, it is the direction you can either go or miss
You should buy and wear clothes that are not necessarily trendy but that are comfortable for you, both physically and emotionally. And if these are fashionable it is even better! Following fashion trends blindly is silly. You can turn into a neurotic fashionista who is sure life isn’t bright enough without the Chanel bag from the latest collection.

4.If you hesitate between two similar pieces, choose the one that is more versatile
If you should choose between two items that serve identical purposes, opt for the one that can be easier combined in style, color and texture with pieces you already own. However, if you still cannot make your choice, buy both of the items (in case you can afford them).
5.If you cannot wear high heels, don’t buy those
If you cannot wear high heels for any reasons, buy footwear with lower heels or without those. Of course sky-high shoes look glamorous, but you better wear flats or kitten heels if you feel your feet hurt. Besides, you will hardly look attractive
6.If you know you’ll wear the item just once, don’t buy it, it will be a waste of money
There are special occasions where you want to look especially good. To achieve this goal you purchase an expensive dress that you know you will wear only once. Then the dress will accumulate dust in your wardrobe. You better spend this huge amount of money on something more wearable and complement it with fancy accessories.

7.Accessories are important!
Accessories are important for every image. Without those any look is not finished. Earrings, bracelets, rings, pendants, handbags, kerchiefs – you have lots of variants. Nevertheless, when buying accessories you should keep in mind the outfit you want to complement. It is always better to choose accessories to clothes than clothes to accessories.
8.Fashion staples make the wardrobe
Every wardrobe should include basic things – classic and versatile pieces of reserved colors, those which can be combined with nearly everything. For example: jeans, pencil skirt, simple white shirt, pumps, etc.
9.Too many bright things are inappropriate
It’s great if you like color, but beware of having too many items in bright hues. The rule of color reads that you shouldn’t combine more than three tones in one outfit, and one of these tones has to be neutral. Items of only one color don’t look interesting either. You should feel when it is enough and stop at the right moment.
10.If you already have an item similar to the one you are going to buy, don’t buy it
As many other girls you might have a habit that makes you buy things that you believe will be good for your wardrobe but you don’t really want to buy. When you know exactly what you want but realize you can’t find it in the shop assortment you end up purchasing the item that is to match to your other clothes. Then you come home and discover the fact you already have a few things in this style and color and they all look almost alike: 10 pairs of jeans that differ in tones of color only, 5 t-shirts of the same design, etc. You better leave the shop if you haven’t found the item you were looking for.
I hope these simple tips will help you to get rid of shopaholic disease. Tough the tips just sound easy, they are more difficult to use.
