While Marc Jacobs is trying to persuade us his Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 ad campaign for Louis Vuitton is all about “the glamour of travel and the romance of going somewhere”, I feel somehow lost. Glamour is different to me, its more real and appealing. It’s beautiful, modern and unforgettable. As for the images of the campaign, they are… well, they do perfectly relate to the brand’s fashion show and the collection, however I doubt they have anything in common with glamour and romance…
Louis Vuitton’s Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 Ad Campaign
Ten models, both male and female, were used to replicate the Louis Vuitton Express. Photographed by Steven Meisel they look interesting but for me there is too much of glitter and details on the photos of the Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2012/ 2013 ad campaign. I know that Marc Jacobs is not the man who would go for minimalism, but this much of excess is not good either.
