Resort is the last thing you would bother about right now. Actually, it seems to be so unreal and out of the world that one might find it absolutely useless to think about the cruise time. However, this would be the rightest tactic to survive through these cold months. What else if not an image of the sandy beach, crystal blue waves and tall palms can save you from freezing out in the street? It can serve as a great tool of motivation for those who can’t stand it anymore. Just pretend that you have a vacation in two weeks and think about the luggage you are planning to take with you. This works one hundred percent, trust me. To help with a good start, the two well-known brands released their resort 2014 campaigns. Enjoy Bottega Veneta and Gucci ads!
Gucci Crusie 2014 Accessories Campaign & Bottega Veneta Resort 2014 Ads
Gucci shared the saucy line of incredible accessories to delight you this winter. It is all about handbags this time – handbags that will blow your mind. You won’t believe me, but this is exactly what I have dreamt about for weeks. And just imagine how surprised I was to spot the pieces from my dreams. Gucci must have somehow intervened into my dreams and borrowed the magnificent idea while I was busy sleeping.
Nadja Bender stars in the gorgeous campaign. The blonde beauty perfectly fits into the classic Gucci image of a modern woman: sleek, elegant and hot. She looks so powerful yet relaxed that I start to wonder how in the world she manages to create such an image. I tried to sit in the same position as she does, but obviously it doesn’t work with me.
The Danish model was lensed by Solve Sundsbo. The outfits were styled by Beat Bolliger, who surely knows how to create a striking campaign. Nadja shows off Soho Bag and Bamboo Shopper in such an appealing way that there is no chance you will stay indifferent. I love the colors that were presented: coffee brown, dim turquoise and deep blue. All three match the resort image I have outlined above.
Bottega Veneta tapped Laura Love for its Resort 2014 ads. David Armstrong shot the beauty who posed in a comfy atmosphere at the location in New York. Tomas Maier, the creative director, chose a very engaging collection of pieces for this photoshoot. The stylish and very feminine line immediately creates the desire to abandon everything, jump on the airplane and spend the next three weeks on the warm side. This is how Mayer commented on the campaign:
The clothes in this collection have an informal sensibility that is intrinsic to Cruise, and yet as with all our collections, there is a rigorous craftsmanship beneath everything.
I fell in love with these light and delicate dresses the moment I saw the images. Laura manages to present the frocks in a fabulous way, leaving one with no doubt at all. I can easily imagine myself walking across the deck of the ship or standing at the edge of the yacht and enjoying the fresh breeze that fools around with my hair. All the pieces would be an excellent match for the dinner outside, as the nights at the seashore tend to be a bit cool and windy.
