Hussein Chalayan and J Brand

Extraordinary British/Turkish Cypriot designer Hussein Chalayan and Los Angeles denim brand J. Brand will team up again.

The new collection will be available this autumn.

Chalayan is well-known for his unrivalled creativity as well as a delicacy of various materials and new technologies. The line will be no ordinary jeans.

Celebrity favorite J Brand, which fans are Cameron Diaz, Kate Moss and Katie Holmes, clearly has a quiet spot for all things British – last year the L.A. brand teamed up with Topshop.

Hussein Chalayan is being currently honored by London’s Design Museum with an exhibition entitled “From Fashion and Back,” that’s on view through May 17.

Chalayan showed his autumn/winter collection in Paris A/W 2009, with lots of neon and servitude inspired details, with high boots and leather corsets.

The designer also adorned outfits with silver chains and wooden and plastic sequins along the outlines of prints. Jeans with embellished sequins! Sounds great!
