Interview Suits are Again in Fashion!

Trying to get a job we do our best to look good. But what is looking good now? According to some fashion experts interview uniforms are back.

For years we’ve considered a suit to look stuffy and boring and strived to make a perfect image by combining “professional” with “creative”, “young” with “mature”. Nowadays we see the revival of a strong suit for interviews and work days as well.

If you work in one of those most creative industries suit is not for you but if you want to get a job at a usual office a suit is a perfect choice.

No one can say for sure what the reason is for such a comeback. Probably it is that crisis and increasing unemployment that caused such an upswing in suit sales or something different that served it turn. But one fact is certain – interview suits are again with us. Both women and men are expected to wear them to demonstrate they are collected and ready to work.

Well, if you made up your mind to purchase a suit, first of all pay attention to the colour. It shouldn’t be too bright not to make you look tarty but it cannot be total black either as it shows any sign of dandruff and every gray hair that you have.

The best tints are grey, navy blue and black but avoid looking too uniform-like.

Earthier colors, like brown or a rich blue, impart a distinctive personality without coming off as overpowering.

But beware of pastels – they don’t look very well unless your suit is just perfect.
Don’t forget about accessories: bags, shoes and of course jewelry. Let’s start from bags.

I hope you understand that large shopping bag is not a good choice and cannot be justified even if you decide to do some shopping after the interview.

The bag should be small, just to carry your resume and some make-up; it can be an elegant chic clutch, for instance.

Shoes are also important. First of all they must be clean. If the weather is bad you can bring a nice pair to change.

High heels are the best for an interview as they help your stance. Wear your flat shoes or something right to the office building but change for beautiful heels for inside walk.

There is nothing wrong with it.

Jewelry has to be nice and restrained; no loud colours and diversity of materials. Prefer metal and steer clear of fake jewelry.

If you are not sure what exactly to wear you can copy you image from someone powerful. A good example can be the first US lady, Michelle Obama.

She is always elegant and classy dressed.

Whatever you choose to don for an interview keep in mind that you should look perfect: nothing too bright or too ordinary, you must stand out to be notable for something and at the same time not to attract too much attention.

And sparkle with your personality!

The interview suit is definitely making a come back. It is also important to make sure the cut is flattering and tailored. When trying on a suit, sit down and make sure you are still comfortable. Nothing is worse then feeling uncomfortable in your clothes while trying to ace those interview questions.
