The last show to be presented for the night on New York Fashion Week Fall 2009 Day 4 was William Rast.
I won’t be mistaken if I say it was the most star studded show, as plenty of celebs attended it.
Among those who’d decided to spend this evening watching the collection were: Anna Wintour, Bee Shaffer, Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch, Gerard Butler, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Aubrey O’Day, Coco Rocha, Sarah Colette, Aisha Tyler, Anthony Anderson and many more others.
Justin Timberlake’s latest William Rast line was to demonstrate a “New America” look.
This line was all about America’s denim look and biker culture: lots of denim jeans, skirts, jackets, vintage tees and plaid shirts with big shoulder pads and leather biker jackets with shoulder pads, embellishments, fringes and patch working, studs and badges.
There were even a few amazing pieces that are the mix of denim and leather.
The collection certainly looks interesting but not much what I like and prefer wearing in everyday life. Nothing of that seemed to me new or unusual.
I even had a feeling the clothes were bought from a vintage shop somewhere in Texas and thrown onto the models.
Probably it will be the best for Timberlake fanatics who are ready to accept everything their idol creates, but for those who is used to elegance and sophistication it is something that doesn’t really look well.
Of course, I do not say my opinion is the best and well-reasoned but this is how I feel about all this stuff. If you have something to say about it leave your comments, please!
