MFW: Salvatore Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2010
It has been announced that Salvatore Ferragamo was to replace Cristina Ortiz by Massimiliano Giornetti in the role of a head designer of the brand for womenwear.
And to leave with success Cristina tried her best to create the collection for Spring/Summer 2010.
This wan’t easy since her previous collection had been received rather coldly.

However, the designer was able to make a few pieces that extablished her fashion view clearly and really hit the runway.
The number of pale coats in crocodile, python and laser-cut leather looked beautiful as did pastel-colored loose-fitting blouses.

Some dresses looked fabulous, especially those of a simplier design.

Nevertheless, the African inspiration that led to the creation of plenty of unflattering jodhpurs cut very generously at the hips was not the best she could have an idea from.
The pants as well as skirts with the hip detailing didn’t look interesting or glamourous. It was an obvious fashion error.

Hope Massimiliano Gionetti will revive the brand. Good luck, Cristina!
