Milan Fashion Week wouldn’t be complete without the show of this particular designer – Donatella Versace, a person of unusual vision of things and skills to embody that into her creations.

The Spring/Summer collection 2010 was inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (which comes out next March).
I loved the idea of that fantasyland,” said Donatella.

Although usually the designer works to make pieces good for grown-ups, this time she decided to create for those who look younger, that has been a trend with designers for some time. It’s just that Donatella shows her own opinion of how young people should look like. These are not only too short skirts and sheer materials which are often visible in other designers’ collections but something else, more significant.

Versace was able to make pieces interesting for modern youngsters – stylish, innovative but still very classy and feminine. Vivid pastels, geometric prints, baroque curlicues, super-short skirts, diverse materials and elaborate combinations of fabrics make the colelction look fresh and sumptuous.

The collection includes not only clothes for every day and daily wear but for evening occasions as well. Floor-sweeping airy gowns with high slits are nice for semi-casual events, they look elegant and attractive.
