Roberto Cavalli Spring/ Summer 2011 collection deals with baring a lot of skin but it has nothing about minimalism despite the fact these two fashion notions are very similar. Looking at the pieces in the range you have the feeling you see more than you are allowed to see but in fact it’s just the illusion.
Working with plenty of various details Roberto Cavalli was able to combine those the way they looked as one single piece but a very elaborate one. Fringe, beading, sequins, lace, reptile leather, chiffon – all these are here and look fantastic!
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the brand Roberto Cavalli created the breathtaking collection that comprised flowing gowns, tiny jackets in croc or snake, suede bibs, pants with laced insets, webby crochet, Greek-inspired shoes and bags with loads of fringe.
When the Spring/ Summer 2011 collection was showcased Roberto Cavalli went out to greet the fashion audience with his wife who was his right hand in everything. The couple looked happy and satisfied with the warm reception of their new range.
