NYFW: Michael Kors Spring-Summer 2010

As we see many collections of S/S 2010 on NYFW displayed bold colors and one of the designers who goes on another way is Michael Kors. He saw next Spting/Summer 2010 in neutral pastel colors: cold hues, fresh mix, white, blue, grey, silver, subdued pink, tender blue, lilac and pistachio.

I’ve never done pastels before; I always felt they were a bit too saccharine. But they seem right for spring. That’s what it’s all about.”

Models came in Spring/Summer RTW collection by Michael Kors were dressed in silver crease lame, draped jersey, crumpled techno taffeta, leather gloves.

The designer made appearance interesting by using zippers and zigzaggs around the body of a mint green asymmetric-neckline, or with bold cut-outs on cocktail dresses.

But all is in balance with simple shapes and controlled effects.

I love architectural attitude,” Michael Kors said during a preview of his Spring-Summer 2010 collection. “But not in a sad way. She’s not a sad fashion girl.”

I’m convinced we will be the first to show transparency in a way women will want to wear it, not as runway ridiculousness.”
