Oscar de la Renta: pre-fall ’09 collection

With the crisis that has influenced almost every sphere of our lives many designers have to take efforts to make their garments cheaper.

Oscar de la Renta does not need that. His collections are always magnificent and are sold pretty fast. Sophistication of his clothes attracts plenty of fashionistas despite that astronomic price they are sold at. This pre-fall collection is not an exception and we wonder again and again how the designer can make such wonderful items all seasons in succession.

The collection includes lots of embroidered party dresses, in black and white sequins, with plenty of floral prints.

The color palette runs the gamut from classic black to the brightest violet. The trend of this season – iridescent feathers – is presented in the line again.

And the lunch set will find endless choices as well, from tried-and-true tweeds, including a patchworked style, to the altogether unexpected black and gold silk faille embroidered with metallic studs the designer used on a knee-length coat and skirt.

The collection was accessorized with big drop earrings, massive necklaces and bracelets, riding hats, bags of various styles, and the knee-high stockings that are going to be extremely trendy in the fall of the forthcoming year reminding us about the style of 1980s.

The line is very classy and feminine. Each clothing item designed by Oscar de la Renta bears the luxury of high class society and chic that many people dream of.

The collection was warmly welcomed and I hope many women of fashion will like it a lot.
