Paint your own dress!
This dress is obviously for those creative ones who find it difficult to choose a dress from the great variety available in stores. This dress allows you lots of freedom in making your own piece. You may ask why and my answer is simple: you can paint the frock the way you like as it comes with a set of textile markers for you to complete the item so that you can better co-ordinate it with the occasion or accessories.

The unique ‘colour-in dress’ was created by fashion designer Berber Soepboer and graphic designer Michiel Schuurman. The idea is that women could paint the dress themselves. It makes the dress really exclusive and easy to combine with other items in your wadrrobe.
Originally the dress comes as an intricately-detailed black and white template but the wearer can fill it with any combination of colours.

Berber comments on the dress:
I especially design clothing which can be worn in different ways, so the owner can make choices in how to wear the cloth. Life exists of many choices based on expectations, desire and the available time – I translate these endless possibilities in my design. The concept of the dresses make it possible that the cloth is partly designed by the person who wears it, which hopefully makes them more valuable to the wearer. The result is a reaction to the rapidly changing fashion. The dress will be unique.”
The colour-in dress’ is a simple dress with a black and white print, which is especially designed to fill with coloured textile markers. Because the print is so flexible you can make many different designs by colouring it. Everybody can interpret the print the way they like it best.”
Michiel, who designed the fabric, said:
I think it’s a party dress. It’s a huge conversation piece.’
Dresses come in four sizes and cost around £250 ($407). If you are interested, look at dresses at www.michielschuurman.nl.
Tell me what you think of the dress. Would you like to finish off the item you’ve bought for 400 dollars?
