Prom dresses by Zuhair Murad Autumn-Winter 2009

When the question arises what designer’s dress to choose for a red carpet event many celebrities opt for Zuhair Murad’s creations without hesitation.

The list of those who love his works includes such big names as Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Kellie Pickler and Beyonce.

No wonder they prefer gowns from this couturier – they are always chic and sophisticated, trendy and elegant.

New Fall 2009 collection, which presented at Milan Fashion Week, was just what I expected, nothing but red carpet glamour featuring many lavish gowns and cocktail dresses.

Each model walking down the runway looked stunning and it couldn’t be in a different way as all the dresses were fantastic!

Zuhair Murad decided it would be a good idea to prolong the life of a flower trend and used it in plenty for his gowns. The flowers were printed, laid on and embroidered.

Rose/rosettes seemed to be a theme of the collection with them appearing on nearly every piece.

Such a little detail as a tiny rosette attached to the side of the gown immediately made the dress feminine and nice-looking.

The hot trend for this season – ruche – is presented here along with pleats and ruffles.

Looks exceptionally fabulous! Another mod tendency of the present is a one shoulder that is adopted in a new way in Murad’s dresses.

The one shoulder is often encrusted with gems and sequins that gives additional chic to the gowns.

I liked the colors used: sensual scarlet, vivid red, hot burgundy, feminine orange, emerald green, rich black and white combination.

Smooth lines, luxurious materials, rich embellishments made the whole collection look chic and brilliant. I absolutely loved each piece and would like to have all of them in my wardrobe.

And I am sure I am not the only one who has an eye on this terrific collection. No doubt we will see these designs on the red carpet soon worn by our favorite celebrities.
