Coming collaborations between Jimmy Choo and H&M and Stella McCartney for Gap Kids and now the latest designer / high street alliance sees London based Croatian-born designer Roksanda Illincic and Whistles design the collection of seven fab cocktail dresses that will be available from September.
The designer currently collaborated with Damaris on a collection of underwear.
It’s so wonderful to see my work reaching a wider audience,” Illincic enthused. “And it’s a pleasure to work with team Whistles!”
Ilincic’s basic lines are popular by dramatic, sculptural dresses givining her the nickname ‘London’s avant-garde dress maker’, a title that only helps to slope the supposition and excitement for this latest designer/high street pair up.
lincic loves jewel tones, duchesse satin, complicated and hidden erection that reads as simple, and blunder on the side of womanlike every time.
Jane Shepherdson, chief executive of Whistles, says,
I have long been a huge fan of Roksanda, and to have her design such an exquisite collection of dresses for Whistles has been a unique opportunity. We have worked closely at every stage of the design process with Roksanda to capture her unique sense of play and contrast in colour, fabric and texture. The capsule line is priced from $295 to $495.
