After a fabulous collection by Burberry Prorsum for spring/summer 2009 was unveiled fashion lovers felt excited about the ad campaign. It was not yet clear who was to be chosen to bring collection to life.
At last we know the answer – it is all-British cast.
The photo shoot by Mario Testino was made in nice and quiet surrounds of a greenhouse in Richmond-Upon-Thames.
The models, including Eden Clarke, Alexina Graham, Richard Wyndham and the English rose Lily Donaldson pose against the lush green backdrop.
Besides, Bailey invited British actor Alex Pettyfer; musicians George Craig and Sam Beeton; and photographer Emily Hope to join the campaign.
I wanted the mood to be gentle, relaxed, romantic, and about a quiet, beautiful sense of luxury. Shot in a garden in England on a group of eclectic great Brits, this campaign highlights the spirit of our wonderfully crumpled classics,” Bailey says.
The photos are alive with color and differ much from those used to present the winter 2008-2009 line. The campaign will be launched in February and covered in plenty of glossy magazines worldwide.
I cannot help mentioning the fact the pre-fall collection presented at Milan Fashion week was awesome. No bright colors, no sharp edges.
Nice sophisticated line that is highly appropriate for wearing. Trench coats are classy and good for fall time. What I liked best was that rumpled fabric of soft colors, it’s elegant and in style.
I hope Burberry Prorsum will follow this path and continue creating such nice collections for us.
