Spring 2009 exhibition “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala was held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).
The 2009 MET Costume Institute Gala was very popular with celebrities. There were Kate Hudson, Rihanna, Kate Bosworth, Liv Tyler, Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum, Jessica Biel, Madonna, Renee Zellweger, Victoria Beckham, Emma Roberts, Agyness Deyn and Molly Sims and many others among the guests.
The list of designers represented at last night’s gala is definitely top-notch and includes names like Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Zac Posen, and Kenneth Cole.
The celebrty fashion choices were different. Many of the guests were delightful and some of them prefered strange costumes and gowns.
The Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen was in a sexy blue sequined minidress.
She hang purple slutch and put on navy open toe high heels. I like her style. She is a very beautiful woman.
The former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was in a sexy one-shoulder silver with black polka-dots minidress by Louis Vuitton with original black heels.
On her shoulder there was a large flower and the back was adorned with a fancy trail.
Kate Moss arrived with designer Marc Jacobs, who was ‘honorary chair’ of the party. And supermodel was co-hosting the annual Costume Institute Gala.
The 35-year-old Moss demonstrated her splendid body in an off-the-shoulder gold short dress by Marc Jacobs and matching turban-style headdress designed by milliner Stephen Jones and gold high heels with platform
The 21-year-old Gossip Girl Blake Lively is wearing Chanel Beaute makeup and a marine one-sleeved chiffon Versace Fall 2009 gown, paireing her style with golden heels. Her dress was so soft and light that the young hottie had to hold it with every wind blow.
Actress Eva Mendes, 35, posed for paparazzi in Calvin Klein silver dress.
Unfortunally the dress made her figure fuller. I think she could have dressed some other gown, the one to suit her better.
Anne Hathaway prefered interestingly styled violet Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 strapless short dress, sassy, and totally unexpected.
Her look is finished with Pour La Victoire metallic “Bethanie” strappy platform sandals and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels including “Camelia” earrings of 5.8 carats of emeralds and diamonds, the “Lotus” diamond ring and the “Zip Paris Trocedero” diamond ring.
