We are all different and have different body shapes and sizes.

When your figure is perfect or close to that you feel confident and look nice wearing almost any garment. But what if your shape or height is far from ideal?

Should you feel embarrassed, or arming yourself with specific tips and information start creating your better image? I dare to advise you the second.

I guess it would be very hard to make any physical changes in your appearance. But you don’t have to do that actually. Everything can be much easier.

Just choose your clothes right to create the illusion of a perfect shape.

So, if you are short and thin these things are for you to remember:

1. Simple dresses and jumpers tend to give you a longer line.

2. One color or a mix of soft hues is the best. Keep in mind the proportion.

3. Single color or tints of a single-color family are good.

4. Solid prints are better than large, splashy ones.

5. Vertical patterns or vertical seaming look nice and make one look taller.

6. For a leggier appearance shorter jacket works well.

7. Flesh-tone hose will make your legs look good whilst bright attractive hose tends to emphasize the shortness of leg. Black hose provides a too thin look.

8. High heels are flattering, but don’t overdo. Too high heels look terrible on short girls.

And these are the things for you to avoid:

1. Anything oversized – collars, shoulders, bulky layers, etc.

2. Cluttering up your neck; that tends to foreshorten your figure.

3. Anything that can be overpowering – hats, hair styles or jewelry.

4. Anything that is big, bulky or complicated.

5. Contrasting bold colors.

6. Heavy shoes as they make the leg look shorter.

All this is simple enough but works well. So, if you are a bit unsure of what to wear follow the rules above and flattering look for you is guaranteed.

is this article meant to put people down & insult & make people feel conscious or something,???
what do you mean what if your height n shape if far from ideal, short & thin is pretty damn ideal for alot of people,
heck im short and thin & im pretty damn confident and i DO look good in evrything i wear,
seriously the tips arent that great and the introduction is really offending,
plus even what is considered good body can look crap if they dress wrong,
& what is ideal, as long as you feel you look good in clothes you think looks good on you then that is the ideal, who cares what the others think if they think you look good but you feel crap then thats just stupid
its these type of ideal sayings that make naive girls believe stupid ideal crap

I didn’t intend to hurt anyone with this article and still consider it was written right. Many people think they need to change something in their figure and it is not bad, we all should strive for looking better and feeling better. I know for sure these tips are helpful and work well with those who really want to make optical transformations. Different people have different visions of ideal shape. But most of girls, especially when they are young, long to look as tall and slim as supermodels at the catwalk. This advice was written for them because I believe it is much better to create the illusion of that than going on plenty of dangerous diets to achieve the real physical result.
I appreciate your opinion but if you decide to leave your comment next time I would like to ask you to choose words more carefully as you, yourself, can hurt people’s feeling. Thank you for your attention.

I didn’t find this article offensive at all and I am short and thin! I think this woman gives a lot of great tips for those who WANT them. “Ideally” I would like to be taller because it’s always difficult for me to find anything in my size. That doesn’t mean I’m not confident or that something is wrong with me for being short! But since I can’t make myself taller, I can still work with what I have and I found this article to be very helpful! Keep up the good work, Veronica!
