Tips for Your Prom Day
This is going to be your Big Day and of course you want to look fantastic, you’d like to be the best, the center of attention and sparkle during the whole evening!
This is easy if you know how to do that. If you’re a beginner you may feel unsure about all those preparations which are so important to make the day wonderful.
The tips you see below will certainly be helpful as you might miss or forget to organize something. But with the list below this would be almost impossible as I’ve tried to take into account everything that can happen.
Well, the most important thing is to plan ahead.
Keep in mind the fact the day of the prom will be very busy and you should get as much organized before the day as you possibly can!
Before you purchase a dress for your prom party think about what you should look like. My advice is to be natural.
Stay close to your personality. Of course it is clear that most girls try to look like a fantasy of themselves, rather than creating a look based on reality but unless you’re a good actress you will look ridiculous with the image different from your inner state. In other words, don’t try to be something that you’re not.
The next significant advice is – make the most of your body. Women of every age have figure flaws and assets.
Your goal now is to use clothes and accessories to draw attention to your assets.
For example, if you’re bottom heavy, draw the eye up by wearing a brighter color or patterns on top or wear great jewelry such as oversized chandelier earrings.
If you’re heavy at the top, do the reverse. Wear brighter colors or patterns on the bottom, etc.
A dress is one of the first things thought about and purchased for the prom.

There are many places to shop for a prom dress. When choosing a prom dress make sure you bring along someone who will let you know exactly how you look in the dress. This person can be a parent or a friend, but ask them to tell you the truth.

Consider purchasing a prom dress from a small boutique or a store designed especially for selling prom dresses.

If your dress needs altering in any way, make sure you make the appointment at least a month before the prom day.
And don’t forget to choose the undergarments for your dress. Ensure it isn’t lacy and the color is right. Try everything on together to make sure it fits well.

When your dress and shoes are already prepared you may feel you’ve done the big part.
And you are right. But there is still too much to do. You need some accessories to add glamour to your look.
The most obvious accessory is jewelry; so let’s start with it. Jewelry accents your gown, and it enhances your own personal style as well.
That is why you should know it’s important not to wear too much jewelry as it is there to accent and enhance and it shouldn’t overwhelm the look of the dress.
If your attire is very elegant you need jewelry that is nice and sophisticated, nothing too huge or massive. If you prefer a rocker style choose for bigger and more impressive jewelry.
Most prom dresses are fine with a minimum of jewelry. Simple earrings and an elegant and tasteful necklace will do the trick.
In case you are short of finances or for some other reasons you may want to consider tying your ensemble together with a simple ribbon instead of using gems.
Use the same color for a finished look, or try a contrasting color to make a bold statement.
And you could even make your own jewelry.
A purse, clutch or bag is the finishing touch to the perfect outfit. It surely serves as an accessory but it is vital for carrying necessary items either.
