Each woman wants to look gorgeous but few ladies understands that just a set of multicolored garments doesn’t give one a perfect view.

Clothes should be chosen carefully taking into consideration lots of factors, including style, color, size, detailing, etc.

However, one should know that there are so-called wardrobe staples, pieces every woman must have to be able to create the most perfect image.

These are usually dark-toned items intended to give a classic look.

The list of must-haves includes:

Two pairs of dark trousers – either black, brown or navy blue. Opt for a slim cut in a wool crepe or a year-round cotton. One pair of dark trousers should go well for evening wear.

Two pairs of jeans – reserved-toned. One pair should be hemmed for heels and the other – for flats.

Three skirts – an A-line skirt which works for all body types, a pencil skirt and a skirt in a neutral fabric and color to mix and match with others items like tweed, wool or boucle.

Shirts - a white button front shirt and a few shirts of muted tones.

Three sweaters – opt for a lightweight, merino or cashmere fabric. One sweater should be black and suit with your black trousers ideally.

The second one needs to be more neutral like off-white, camel or taupe. And the third sweater must be the one you like much and feel comfortable in. It has to be simple and look pretty both with jeans and a skirt.

Two Jackets – one is for office wear – a tailored jacket that looks nice with your black pants; and another is just a good sporty leather jacket.

Three coats – a classic trench coat with a zip-out wool liner for multiple seasons, a transition coat of knee-length that is great for both day and night, and a warm winter coat in a wool or cashmere blend.

Dress – the only thing you need here is a little black dress that can give a good go to everything well combined with the dress.

Three handbags – a usual classic leather bag which matches absolutely everything, a big tote bag for huge things, and a beautiful clutch for the evening.

5 pairs of shoes - a pair of black pumps with an average heel in a the classic or current style, a pair of evening shoes made in black satin or suede with a closed toe, a pair of sneakers, high black boots and boots for rainy or snowy weather depending on the climate.

Having all these in your wardrobe means you can always look good by combining them with each other and adding other suitable styles as well.
