Lanvin maybe a luxurious fashion house but they know how to have fun when it comes to presentation. With redheaded Raquel Zimmermann and Karen Elson on board the brand shot a funny Fall/Winter 2011/2012 ad campaign. In the shots models seem like they’re dancing and well, they are. Their dancing moves make us smile and the fact they are wearing Lanvin luxurious dresses and jewelry makes it even better.
The two redheads dance to the song of Pitbull “I know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” while being shot by Steven Meisel in some luxurious apartment room. Lowell Tautchin and Milo Spijkers clad in 1930s style wide brim hats and velvet jackets also do the funny dance.
Lanvin Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collections of both menswear and womenswear include sharp stylish outerwear, dresses, suits, and other clothes items. Womenswear collection consists of cocktail dresses decorated with oversize brooches and voluminous details. The shapes are lush but fabrics are flowing. The voluminous shoulders and skirts contrast with sharp lines in clothes and footwear. The dark colors and faded prints go along bright pops of red, fuchsia, and yellow.
Menswear collection also features wide brim hats, shades of gray, loose-fitting trousers and velvet jackets, streamlined outerwear and suits. The black and gray prevail in the collection but the browns, yellow and deep red also appear in the menswear.
The ad campaign is chic and funny, the models demonstrate some of the outfits from both collections. Lanvin’s creative director Alber Elbaz has also appeared in the video advert wearing one of the menswear collection’s outfits dancing with the male models and sort of pushing them back.
