Adele is definitely not the one to be afraid of critics. The singer, who has been listed among the most influential people in the world, has confessed during Today Show that she had to wear four pairs of Spanx to be able to squeeze her body into a dress she wore to the 2012 Grammys.
She said:
I had three or four pairs of Spanx on that night but I loved it. I actually had another dress made and I ended up passed out in it, it had a corset and I was like, “I can’t wear that”, so I ended up wearing this instead.”
She also mentioned she couldn’t sing in all the four, so she took off two pair of Spanx and then went to the stage to perform:
I took a couple of pairs off.”
Speaking about her celebrity status and all that fame thing Adele said:
I just want to make music, I don’t want people to talk about me. All I’ve ever wanted to do was sing. I don’t want to be a celebrity. I don’t want to be in people’s faces, you know, constantly on covers of magazine that I haven’t even known I’m on.”
She also commented on a variety of rumors people make about her:
I was adopting an Ethiopian child, that’s not true. My house was haunted, that wasn’t true. God, there’s been so many rumors.”
