To tell you the truth I was amazed to see the Olsen sisters looking that good at the 2011 CFDA Awards. It seems like Ashley and Mary-Kate have finally decided to put a bit more effort in creation of their own red carpet looks. Mary-Kate chose to wear a luxurious Chanel jacket, The Row skirt, and Louis Vuitton shoes. And Ashley went for The Row dress and Manolo Blahnik heels.
The two designers are known for their grungy style. Ashley and Mary-Kate have recently explained why they love wearing baggy and layered clothing. They told it was media that made them dress that way, and… laziness.
Surprisingly enough the Olsens manage to design beautiful garments. And for their The Row fashion line the sisters were nominated for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear. Unfortunately they didn’t win but Prabal Gurung was a deserving candidate too.
