When I hear GQ I usually picture a half-nude celebrity on the cover who confesses about her dirtiest fantasies inside the issue. However, Claire Danes was able to avoid stripping off both physically and emotionally. But that doesn’t mean British GQ September 2012 issue has nothing to surprise you with. It seems like Ms Danes can be interesting without showing too much.

Posing in a chic dress with a split on the leg and a pair of amazing burgundy heels the Homeland star looks stunning. And while her pose for the picture inside the editorial is a little restrained we still believe these are one the best photos of the actress ever taken.
Speaking about her work on Homeland Claire Danes says she admires her character, CIA agent Carrie Mathison, in some way. She told GQ:
She’s like my kinky superhero alter ego now. Because as disturbed and troubled as she is, she’s always f***ing right. Which is so nice because I so rarely am.”
And she is thrilled to be doing such a compelling job even if it separates her from her beloved husband Hugh Dancy:
It sucks. Seven years, it’s a long-a** time. But every year I’m going to have something really compelling to do.”
The actress also touched the question on why she refused to play Rose in the epic film Titanic:
I had just made a romantic epic with Leonardo – it just seemed redundant to me. The problem is that I always took myself too seriously. Now I realise I should have lightened up. I was a serious kid to an absurd degree. I was overwhelmed with responsibility, trying to play grown up. I overdid it.”
