Remember Jennifer Hudson, a 31 year old singer, which got famous in 2004 after becoming a finalist in the third season of American Idol? Well, her career seems to go up and up and this time she landed on the cover of the “Lucky” magazine in January 2013 issue. As we remember, back in the days she was not an idol in terms of conventional anorexic beauty norms, and she was forced to lose some weight. As Jennifer recalls:

“The first time I was asked to lose weight [on American Idol], I was like, ‘What??’ Where I come from, I was never considered particularly heavy.” After a number of crash-diet attempts, Hudson found success with Weight Watchers because it wasn’t about Hollywood-style deprivation. “You have what you’re craving,” she says. “Chocolate is what I love—I have it every day.”

I have to be flexible, comfortable. I still can’t believe I have my own line. Us ladies, we don’t always get cute if we’re getting comfort. You want both. I hate when you see a guy and girl out together, and he’s walking along, feeling great, and she can’t walk in her heels and she’s freezing in her dress … ”
