Jennifer Lawrence covers W Magazine’s October 2012 issue wearing a black feather-y organza dress from Calvin Klein Collection. Photographed by Tim Walker the actress poses in various feather dresses by designer brands like Alberta Ferretti, Alexander McQueen, Prabal Gurung, and Vivienne Westwood in the amazing photoshoot featuring flamingo and other birds.
Speaking with the magazine Jennifer Lawrence talked about her career, Oscars, and various roles including Katniss from Hunger Games and Mystique from the new X-men. Talking about the Academy Awards ceremony Lawrence said:
It’s an honor and an overwhelming compliment, but it’s also a kind of bizarre thing. All of a sudden you’re at these parties and everybody’s famous, and you feel like a loser.
By the time of the actual Oscars, I was so sick of fittings and trains and corsets and people asking “What are you going to wear?” I had to go on a diet, because at all the parties there’s champagne and hors d’oeuvres. I ate so much! I think I wore two Spanx on the night of the awards.
The actress also discussed her auditions for roles like Mystique and eailier films like The Poker House. When asked about her training in archery for the part of Katniss in Hunger Games Lawrence said:
I do love archery. I could kill someone with a bow and arrow if they’d hold still!
With Hunger Games, I got really nervous about signing on to that huge franchise. I was afraid that Katniss would overwhelm any other character I’d try to do. But I love Katniss, and she didn’t take over as much of my life as I thought she would.
The acrtess also said she cannot live in L.A. because of all the attention and that she would like to move somewhere to avoid that.
Sadly, I cannot live in Los Angeles anymore. I don’t understand how actors can do it. You have no life here. You are followed everywhere.
But I still love movies. I’m just going to love being in them from Kentucky, or Prague, or somewhere else.
The cover and photoshoot turned out amazing.
