This Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 fashion show was the most anticipated during Paris Fashion Week this year, not Chanel or Jean Paul Gaultier but Mugler. If you are still unaware of why this presentation is so important I’ll tell you. It’s Lady Gaga who aroused that great interest. The star twitted yesterday she was going to walk the runway for the brand. And her two songs were to be played during the show.

Taking into consideration the fact that Lady Gaga is a special guest that has to be protected a security team was hired to provide safety. The stage was decorated with wooden columns to create the illusion of a grand cathedral nave and models had to walk in between these columns. The lighting was rather dull to create the atmosphere of mystery.
The Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 Mugler collection was more common and wearable that we expected. However, lots of sheer fabrics, fur, unusual prints and shapes made the range look special. The shoes were huge, towering and very uncomfortable judging by the way the models strutted the catwalk. However, Lady Gaga seemed to feel pretty normal in those.
Lady Gaga showcased two looks from Mugler Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection. The first was very Gaga: molded black bra, sheer bodysuit, and long black hobble skirt. She had platinum-blond extensions under a triangle hat, and she was smoking… All this looked impressive. She definitely wasn’t a traditional runway beauty.
Her second and actually finishing outfit of Mugler Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection was no less breathtaking. The performer sported a white corset, bodysuit, long skirt, and a stole that she twirled in a multiple ways.
Formichetti who was behind the collection told Gaga was his muse while he was her great fashion idol. The designer then mentioned that his biggest fan had already “bought the entire collection in every color.”
