Adele isn’t a typical singer who loves red carpets and overall attention. Besides, she isn’t trying to look perfect like most stars. She likes herself, likes her body, and she likes her songs so much that she isn’t ready to accompany them with dancing; she just wants to sing them. She’s different. And that’s what we value her for. There are too many women in this industry that are just like others. It’s nice to have someone who isn’t afraid to be different.

Adele has become a really big star within just a couple of years but she has worked a lot to achieve that. In her interview for Vogue March 2012 issue she confesses she has been singing every day since she was fifteen and that she was very glad when she knew she was nominated for Grammy. And we all saw how incredibly happy she was when she received SIX Grammys.

Read some of the highlights from Adele’s interview for Vogue March 2012:
Adele on her voice troubles: “I’ve been singing properly every day since I was about fifteen or sixteen, and I have never had any problems with my voice, ever. I’ve had a sore throat here and there, had a cold and sung through it, but that day it just went while I was onstage in Paris during a radio show. It was literally like someone had pulled a curtain over it.”

Adele on her Grammy nominations: “I burst into tears when I found out. And I would love, absolutely love, to win. This record is coming to an end, and that would be the final brick on it.”
Adele on her performance style: “I definitely think that less is more. I don’t think I could pull it off, doing an elaborate show. There are a couple of songs that are worthy of a few explosions and dancing teams and stuff like that. But I would feel really uncomfortable displaying my music like that. I just want to sing it. I don’t want to perform with my body.”

Adele on giving up drinking: “Don’t like drinking anymore. I think I got it out of my system. D’yaknowhaImean?”
Adele on being a celebrity: “I hate the red carpet. I don’t feel insecure, I just feel like, Oh, I don’t want to do this. I literally get a stomach cramp. At the VMA’s last year I felt really out of my comfort zone because there were so many superstars there. But that’s been the case from day one. I never feel like, Oh, yeah, I should be here. And I was missing my best friend’s hen night. So I was a bit bitter that I wasn’t there, to be perfectly honest.”
