Andrej Pejic (Know all about Andrej Pejic) who is often taken for a female has done a photoshoot for Dossier Magazine. The cover of the glossy also features the model, shirtless and with his hair done in curls. As you might have heard this picture has caused a controversy. Some people believe the photo is very obscene, but others think there is nothing wrong about it because Pejic is a man and a shirtless man is normal in our society.

Barnes & Noble were the first to raise the question when they decided to censor an image of Andrej Pejic because they were afraid customers could ‘confuse him for a woman’.
Andrej Pejic has probably been hurt by this and answered back that this picture should be in no way considered obscene as it is art, nothing else. And if it is art there should be no difference between a man and a woman.
He told New York magazine:
I think the question really isn’t the gender of the person on the cover, it’s whether it’s porn or it’s art. And clearly, it’s art, so art really should not be censored in a democratic society. […] It’s not any sort of sexual image.”
Andrej Pejic tried to take the situation with humor though:
I have just been named the 98th sexiest woman in the world, so it makes the situation a little bit confusing for them.”
My opinion about it is quite clear. Pejic is a man and we don’t censor pictures of shirtless men. If he were more muscular no one would even notice. What do you think?
