2012 Cannes Film Festival Opening ceremony was a great event which attracted actors and actresses from around the world who were ready to both speak about their latest and upcoming films and walk the red carpet greeting their fans and smiling to photographers.

Eva Longoria, who looked most stunning at the event, wore two amazing dresses. The rosy one with luxurious embroidery and a very long train from Marchesa was the definitely the dress of the night. The other one, black and lacy by Alberta Ferretti, was more demure but still very beautiful.

Indian actress Freida Pinto also appeared at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony and she also wore two gowns. She opted for a pink strapless dress with a sequined bodice, unusual peplum detail and a long split on the leg designed by Michael Angel brand which she then changed for a chic black Versace creation.

The Help star Jessica Chastain went for a simple snowy white floor-length dress by Alexander McQueen which she complemented with Louis Vuitton jewelry.
