The Young Hollywood Awards ceremony has been held since 1999 and seems to be quite successful. This award is presented in order to recognize people’s achievements in movies, fashion, pop music and television. Teenagers along with young adults get a chance to vote for their favorite stars and choose the best of the best. Supported by Crest 3D White and SodaStream, the 2013 Awards Ceremony took place at The Broad Stage on August 1, 2013 in Santa Monica, California.
2013 Young Hollywood Awards: Best Fashion Moments
I am not that interested in either who got the most awards or how disappointed with the results the young celebrities were. What draws my attention more is the outfits that the ladies donned to the event. I am pretty positive you are on my side, so let’s have a look at the best dressed of 2013 Young Hollywood Awards.
Lucy Hale opted for a gorgeous lace dress in black and white by Joy Cioci. I love her frock – it is definitely my favorite look of the night. First of all, I am a big fan of lace, especially when it is handcrafted so perfectly. The other thing I like a lot is monochrome trend. Lucy paired this masterpiece with a pair of black Le Silla sandals, elegant Peggy Hartanto belt, Edie Parker clutch and Graziela Gems jewelry.
AnnaSophia Robb looks very darling in this white Emilio Pucci frock with colorful butterflies. Bustier dress is always a very good choice, because it stresses the decollete as well as the waist line. Stuart Weitzman scarpins in gold, Jimmy Choo clutch and David Yurman jewelry completed AnnaSophia’s look.
Alyssa Milano rocked an edgy Stella McCartney jumpsuit with cut-out panels on the bodice. She managed to look way younger than her actual age (40!) is. A pair of bright yellow pumps by Marissa Webb, black leather Saint Laurent clutch and Jennifer Fisher jewels finished her stylish look.
Three ladies opted for outfits with a floral print. Holland Roden chose Ted Baker top and pants, whereas Crystal Reed sported an adorable dress by Carolina Herrera. These two looks, despite of the similar pattern, are totally different. Holland went for classic black color, which is set off by multicolored flowers. She finished the look with B Brian Atwood sandals and Rachel Zoe clutch, all black. The American actress opted for a sleek ponytail, which was a very wise decision, for it is her outfit that was the highlight of the show.
Crystal Reed opted for powder blue color which looks very delicate. Manolo Blahnik nude shoes along with jewelry pieces by Melinda Maria & Graziela Gems complete her outfit.
Another attendee with florals is Bailee Madison. This thirteen-year-old girl demonstrates a great fashion sense. While there are more mature celebrities who have a tendency to shock us with a total absence of any taste, Bailee looks incredibly elegant in this Ted Baker long-sleeved frock. The pattern of her dress is identical to the one of Holland’s outfit, by the way. The teenage star paired the frock with BCBGMAXAZRIA black point toe pumps and a clutch by Judith Leiber.
Selena Gomez, who received the Fan Favorite Album Award and Most Anticipated Tour Award, hit the red carpet with a very sophisticated look. Versace black skimming dress with leather accents, Jimmy Choo sandals and Neil Lane jewelry go with her moderate hairstyle.
Laura Marano seems to be also a big fan of black. Peplum top by Theory matches Vince leather pants and along with Stuart Weitzman suede shoes creates sort of a grunge look. Although her outfit seems to be not very summerish, I still like it.
2013 Young Hollywood Awards Ceremony no doubt was a very big event. I am sure all the nominees got more or less satisfied with the results of the vote. As for me, the fashion moments of the red carpet are what made my day. How about you? Don’t forget to share your favorite look with us!
