Celebs are at it again, award shows I mean. The MTV Movie Awards were intense this year. The stars came dressed mostly in black, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson rapped, Lonely Island performed a tribute to Will Smith who won the Generation Award and a lot of crazy things happened. Looking at the red carpet was most enjoyable.
Cara Delevigne turned up with her Suicide Squad cast buddies to show off an exclusive movie clip during the ceremony. The model looked hot in a black velvet jumpsuit fresh from Balmain’s Fall 2016 collection. She accessorized her look with some matching bracelets, black pointed shoes, and a dark brown lipstick. And is it just me or she has blood splatters on her feet?
Not only Gigi Hadid sported bangs that we saw in her Vogue shoot with Zayn Malik to the red carpet, she showed up in a pinstripe Versace suit on an unbuttoned printed shirt that showed off her lacy bra. The model accessorized with a choker and wore some really thin strapped sandals.
Charlize Theron kept the naked dress trend relevant with her Alexander McQueen dress from Fall 2016 line. The actress looked amazing as usual sporting some thin strap-y sandals and a tiny satin clutch.
Another star to show some flesh was Halle Berry who Noam Hanoch dress that is curiously reminiscent of her 2002 Oscar gown that revealed her stomach through a semi-sheer panel. The actress embraced the cold-shoulder trend as well keeping it simple in accessory department.
Kendall Jenner killed it on the red carpet again in a cool Kristian Aadnevik dress and dramatic DSquared2 Riri sandals both of which showed off and accentuated her long legs. She and BFF Gigi Hadid announced Ariana Grande’s performance because they rarely do anything apart.
Actress Lizzy Kaplan shined in a black Sally LaPointe halter gown that featured two types of sequins and textures; the sheer part of the skirt featured cage-like stripes. She accessorized sparingly with some golden bangles and clutch making it one of the best looks of the night.
Melissa McCarthy already tried this year’s Fall corset trend and looked amazing doing it. The leather top dresses up the pant suit making it more daring and modern while the cage sandals add some spring touch to it.
Jessica Chastain also went for a waist-cinching gown. The beautiful black Givenchy lace number features leather waist cage and beads, which makes for a such unusual look. Her black nails went perfectly with the look and the stone ring almost matched her lip color.
Margot Robbie didn’t go full on black but chose a wine red Alexander McQueen dress with a sheer black overlay. Her accessories included only a black satin clutch and wine red manicure, which was totally fitting with the look.
Apparently not all stars got the black dress memo, JK. Emilia Clarke showed up in a white Miu Miu dress with a peculiar trend that looked lovely with her pink lipstick, bedazzled pink clutch and silver sandals.
