Chanel Resort 2013 collection, which had been the source for rumors and speculation for weeks, was finally presented in the Versailles gardens, the place which is rarely open for the public. Under a series of tents guests were sitting, including Tilda Swinton, Haider Ackerman (who is rumored to be the heir to the Chanel creative director position), Vanessa Paradis and many others, those who love fashion and admire the brand and Karl Lagerfeld.
Chanel Resort 2013 show was opened by Cara Delevingne who appeared like a fairy-tale character in a colored wig and with dramatic makeup. Her dress as well as dozen other pieces which followed seemed to be inspired by Marie Antoinette times. Pantaloons, ruffled- shorts, sequin-encrusted dresses look unreal and very beautiful.
While majority of looks showcased during Chanel Resort 2013 presentations are hardly wearable, separate items looked simply perfect for the wardrobe of a modern girl: cropped jackets, kapris, denim ensembles in military style, etc.
