Time to make some comparisons! I suggest you evaluating two Vogue November 2011 editions – the UK one with Rihanna and the Japanese issue with Lara Stone (Check out Lara Stone’s picture gallery). Both girls look great but while Rihanna is sexier and more playful Lara is definitely more sensual and on a few photos even aggressive.
Rihanna, who covers Vogue UK November 2011 issue, wears a wonderful floral-printed dress for the front page (is it Alberta Ferretti?) and a black bodysuit, cardigan, beret and a pair of sexy pumps for the inside pictorial.
While talking to the Vogue UK interviewer Rihanna mentions that it is not she that people see on stage. It’s just a part she has to play.
Rihanna told Vogue UK:
That’s not me. That’s a part I play. You know, like it’s a piece of art… I just want to make music.”
She also notes that her troubled childhood made her too mature too early:
I saw too much. I was way too mature for my age.”

Japanese Vogue November 2011 issue features a Woman of The Year Lara Stone. The supermodel wears a number of Givenchy outfits for both the cover and the photos inside the magazine. On the cover we see her rocking a stylish green number. She looks beautiful. And the pictures inside show us quite a different Lara, also beautiful, but there is more than that about her. She is sensual and tempting, but then too confident and aggressive.

I loved Lara Stone in Vogue MUCH better, but i can’t help to think that Laras look would have suited Rihanna better. Rihanna does the whole “bondage chic” thing better than anyone.

I think Lara Stone look better on the Vogues cover.
Rihanna look too American, and blond hair look a bit odd.
Rihanna’s cover was much better because she is better dressed and the hues are far more harmonious. The other cover of Lara Stone used clashing hues and it was a mistake to use such a harsh red lipstick, both of which clashed with Lara’s complexion. It speaks volumes that Rihanna can rival a model!
