Those days when Selena Gomez was just a cute Disney star have gone already. She is now 18 year old and clearly knows what she wants from this life. Her acting and music careers are developing pretty fast. And relationship with Justin Bieber has just soared public interest to Selena’s persona. Despite her busy schedule Selena Gomez finds time for attending special events, and whenever she appears on the red carpet critics get surprised at how beautiful and elegant this young lady can be. They call her style as ‘ultra-feminine’ and ‘elegant’. And indeed, majority of Selena Gomez’s fashion choices are perfect.
In one of her interviews for Seventeen Magazine Selena Gomez opened up about what makes her style. She said she is obsessed with black color which she loves so much that her mother even stopped her from wearing it.
Selena Gomez said:
The color that I usually gravitate towards most would be black, to be honest. I probably have picked out so many black dresses that my mom has stopped me from wearing, because I love that color.”
Talking about the use of accessories Selena Gomez said she stuck to the principle ‘less is more’:
My favorite fashion tip would probably be ‘less is more,’ when it comes to accessories.”
The actress also mentioned she had someone to help her in choosing clothing for red carpet events:
When I’m picking out a dress for an event, I don’t really spend too much time on it. I have a wonderful lady that I work with who kind of knows the style I like, so we pick out the top ten, and we’ll sit down and I’ll see which one I think is pretty. I find that I get in trouble when I overthink it.”
For red carpet events Selena Gomez usually opts for long chic gowns which accentuate her wonderful slim figure. She adds just a few accessories and always ends up looking gorgeous.
Sometimes she wears cocktail dresses to special events or even shorts or pants. But high-heeled shoes are a must, though in real life she prefers wearing flats.
