2014 SAG Awards have seen pretty similar faces from Cate Blanchett to Amy Adams along with TV stars like Sofia Vergara and Hannah Simone. The star-studded event had an amazing red carpet as usual and you could see the designer creations from Gucci to Givenchy and, of course, tons of jewelry from Neil Lane and Lorraine Schwartz. So if you want to see the best 10 dresses from the Awards, just keep reading.
10 Best Dresses From 2014 SAG Awards
Elisabeth Moss showed an amazingly simple yet elegant crimson dress by Michael Kors. The nominated actress wore a matching red lipstick and golden accessories that beautifully completed her look.
The black sash did a great job defining the wais and providing a stark contrast to the crimson red.
Kaley Cuoco has chosen the best dresses this season and SAG Awards weren’t an exception. Big Bang Theory star opted for another Vera Wang dress (the other being her wedding dress obviously) with a beautiful mermaid skirt, which she accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and a Ferragamo clutch.
Sofia Vergara has been stealing attention as usual. The Modern Family star chose a glitzy dress from Donna Karan Atelier and has paired it with Amrapali jewels. That necklace looks like it was made for this gown despite the green gems.
SAG award winner Lupita Nyong’o was a sight in an azure Gucci gown. Deceptively minimalistic the dress features a floral beaded neck detail that adds drama to the gown. The star has also worn golden Fred Leighton jewels.
Actress Natalie Dormer has not only drawn attention with her new hairstyle but also with a white Marios Schwab gown with black net sleeves. As in case with the Gucci dress of Lupita Nyong’o the sleeves gave the minimalistic creation a surprising twist.
Her half-shaved hairstyle was complemented with a Diane Kordas diamond ear cuff while the black clutch and shoes nicely matched the black sleeves.
Hannah Simone in Marchesa
Hannah Simone’s white Marchesa dress is simply gorgeous. The neck detail was certainly a trend this time and her pretty floral neckline looked like it was made out of feathers. The New Girl actress sported Neil Lane & Dionea Orcini jewels that included a trendy double knuckle ring.
Simone’s relaxed hairstyle nicely complemented the dress that is both elegant and playful.
Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen
Kelly Osbourne’s navy blue dress from Zac Posen had the most fierce silhouette. The dress was decorated with a satin pattern and the futuristic shoulders made the dress look even more interesting. Kelly has worn a ring cuff on her left hand and a couple of rings on her right one.
Amy Adams prefers solid colors this year as her dark blue Antonio Beradi dress is the third monochromatic dress this season. The dress has an interesting cut at the top and a double sleeve that bares the shoulder so that it doesn’t feel like another one shoulder dress. Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Cartier jewelry have finished the look.
Adams’ metallic open toe Jimmy Choo shoes could be seen thanks to the dress’ front slit while also nicely matching her metallic belt.
Maria Menounos’ Rani Zakhem dress surely stood out thanks to its warrior armour-like design. The gold top was paired with the softest pink skirt. The TV star has chosen LoveGold jewelry by Neil Lane and golden Oroton clutch to finish her look.
Cate Blanchett in Gyvenchy
Cate Blanchett continues to reap awards for her Blue Jasmine work. The actress went for an interesting Givenchy dress designed in antique style and decorated with pink sequins. She wore Chopard jewels and had her makeup done in the same color palette as her dress.
It’s hard to pick from all the amazing dresses but if I were to choose which one of these to wear to the red carpet I’d go with Hannah Simone’s Marchesa gown. It’s cute but also elegant. What about you?
