But at the 2012 Met Ball event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday there were plenty of bright dresses and that was really surprising since majority of women prefer to wear neutral colors to ensure they don’t get into bad-dressed lists. Emma Stone, who has become a real star and a regular at glam events, wore an amazing custom-made red dress by Lanvin to the 2012 Met Ball. Black gloss leather pumps finished her look ideally.
January Jones opted for a chic structured Atelier Versace gown with metallic insets. A turquoise necklace seemed perfect to complement her choice.
Jessica Chastain appeared at the Met Ball in an unusual Louis Vuitton dress. The color of it is fabulous, don’t you think?
Kristen Bell looked wonderful in a tangerine gown which the actress accessorized with a golden clutch and jewelry.
Paula Patton’s lavender dress was the hit of the red carpet and paired with those large earrings it made a lovely combo.
Milla Yovovich’s Prada dress wasn’t the most interesting at the 2012 Met Ball but it looked great on her.
Candice Swanepoel arrived at the event in a sexy Rag & Bone evening gown.
Coco Rocha surprised everyone by donning a bright yellow vintage pant suit by Givenchy. She also dyed her hair pink to match the outfit.
Ginnifer Goodwin, who has quite an unusual fashion sense, this time opted for an orange Givenchy gown which looked gorgeous on her. The shoes are questionable though.
Best-dressed Woman of 2012 (by Glamour magazine) Kristen Stewart wore an eccentric Balenciaga dress to the Met Ball event. And while the dress itself looked quite stylish the shoes raised eyebrows of many critics.
Solange Knowles added her portion of brightness into the day by wearing a neon yellow tiered Rachel Roy gown.
Emily Blunt, who arrived at the 2012 Met Ball with her husband John Krasinski, looked brilliant in a delicate pink Calvin Klein gown.
Diane Kruger, who is often praised for her fashion taste, failed to impress at the 2012 Met Ball event. The actress’ tiny frame was fully swamped by a deep violet Prada gown.
Just like many others on the red carpet of the 2012 Met Ball Eva Mendes wore a Prada gown. She looked lovely in it.
Emma Roberts also opted for a bright dress to wear at the 2012 Met Ball. She went for a strapless Escada gown.
