Gothic trend has been big on the runway. Leather, lace, and vampy lips have inspired the Fall/Winter 2012/2013 collections of Versace, Givenchy, Valentino, Alberta Ferretti and other fashion designers.

Black Leather Skirt
Black leather skirt seen at Valentino and Alberta Ferretti is a great addition to the Fall wardrobe and an item for pulling off a Gothic trend. It can be an A-line or pencil skirt as well as a dramatic long skirt with leather panels.

Architectural Coat
Opt for an architectural coat to add shape and lines to your outfit. Givenchy RTW 2012 collection is full of military style and structured coats and jackets that are pertinent to Gothic style. Also look into cape-like outerwear as seen at Valentino RTW 2012 show.

Lace
Lace is one of the key features of Gothic style so opt for a black lace blouse or a top wth lace panels and sleeves. This will deinitely add a Gothic touch to your wardrobe. Although make sure to choose underwear carefully if the blouse is sheer.

Embellished Outerwear
Embellished outerwear is quite dramatic but if you’re into the style studded or bejeweled coats and jackets like the ones offered by Versace and Valentino. The bejwelled Valentino coat looks simply glam.

Knee-High Leather Boots
Boots are common for the style and the season so black knee-high leather boots will look great with skirts as well as pants. Versace has designed netted boots with leather toe for the collection and it doesn’t look too warm but it’s quite stylish.
To balance out the abundance of black color add red, purple and white to the picture. Opt for streamline silhouettes to balance out the structured pieces or oversized tops and coats which are also ‘in’ this season.
