As a woman I can say it is always pleasant to receive lingerie as a present from your beloved. But considering the fact choosing lingerie is not easy even for a woman herself one can imagine how hard it is for a man to make the right option. So, I took my time and made a list of tips a man should keep in mind while shopping for lingerie to please his girlfriend or wife.
Make sure you know the size. When it comes to lingerie, size is really everything. Try your best to get her size: check her drawer, look at the size of lingerie she’s wearing now (do it the way she doesn’t notice) or ask her friend or sister to do the research for you. If her size is impossible to figure out, opt for a piece that doesn’t require precise sizing: a babydoll, pajamas or a luxurious kimono.
Don’t make radical choices. If your wife or girlfriend likes comfy underwear and you have never seen her in anything sexier than French knickers the chance she will like a skimpy thong is quite insignificant. Think of something she would want to wear.
Don’t play it too safe. Of course you want the lingerie to fit her and it is essential she likes your present, but playing it too safe can not be the best option. Go bolder and buy something she will not buy herself. Stay true to her style though.
Don’t limit your options to matching sets only. Try a teddie, babydoll or a sexy nightgown. Your present should be interesting, intricate and totally functional. In case you can afford buying two different styles, do that. Go classic and edgy.
Ask for professional help. You can always ask for help from a professional employee in the store you are planning to buy your present. They are trained to assist in situations like yours. Don’t forget to ask for gift wrapping which will make your present even more special.
In case you can’t spend much on the present opt for a sexy lingerie accessory or a pair of silk stockings. A lovely suspender belt, a mask or a garter can be a great gift which will spice up your nights. Variety of stockings is huge. You can opt for a simple pair of nude stockings to make your present practical or invest into a pair with back seams, polka dots or any other erotic pattern for her to wear it for you only.
Choose lingerie that’s trendy. Most girls follow fashion trends and will hardly wear a piece that’s old-fashioned.
