The high-fashion swimwear brand Rosa Cha Atelier’s has made a collection of ultra-lavish swimsuits – in leather and chiffon, which cost $1200, $3,200 Swarovski one-piece and the $1,200 crystal bikini!
And these four-figure swimsuits that you can’t even swim in are selling hot this Summer.
And who can buy such swimwear? The reach woman who lives in a big city and and frequents the Brazilian bathing-suit outpost in SoHo shop, according to store manager Christina Delice.
She said that their customers hopping planes to fantastic destinations like St. Bart’s and the south of France have been snapping them up.
The people that buy the pieces are people who, well, can definitely afford these kinds of items,” she said. “And they understand fashion. It’s what they breathe, what they wear and how they live.
They are taken aback when they see that we have such beautiful items. And they really appreciate the limited quantity.”
The brand’s least overpriced suit – a twisted-brassiere bikini with a ruched bottom – is a “bargain” at $180.
In time of deep recession the high-end swimsuit market is going just successfully.
