The Hills Heidi Montag is adding swimwear designer to her resume. She announced she’s working on a sexy bikini line with designer Ashley Paige.
Earlier the reality show starlet teamed with affordable chain Anchor Blue for a hot line called Heidiwood, which has since stopped production.
I love bathing suits,” Heidi says. “I feel like I wear them more than anyone so it makes sense for me. I did a fashion show for Ashley Paige a year ago in Miami and I’ve been such a big fan of hers.”
Heidi will make the first public appearance of six styles from the collaboration on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here beginning June 1, which will be available on AshleyPaige.com.
The full collection will be presented in an I Dream of Jeanie – themed catwalk show during Miami Fashion Week in July 2009.
Heidi will take part on the runway show to demonstrate the ’60s-inspired range among blonde models showing off particularly designed T-shirts that read “I Dream of Heidi”.
That’s the only bathing suits I will be wearing on the show,” Heidi tells E! News of the three-week shooting schedule in Costa Rica. “I’ll be living in them. That’s all I’ll be wearing.”
They’re for every size, all body types,” says Heidi. “They’re for little women and bigger women.”
Heidi says she’s ramped up her own workout regime with help from her husband, Spencer Pratt.
Spencer and I work out together. We kind of do a couple’s workout, so I really push myself because I’m always trying to keep up with Spencer,” she says of her routine, which includes 60- to 90-minute sessions, five days a week, with a coach.
Ashley Paige and Heidi Montag’s full line will hit major department stores and budget stores as they have both a high-end luxury collection and a lower priced point line planned so everyone can buy a Heidi and Ashley swimwear!
