The 60th annual Primetime Emmy Awards took over Los Angeles, being held at the Nokia Theatre on Sunday night, September 21.
There were a lot of beautiful celebrities in great dresses.
Jewelled metallic accents, sweeping gowns and soft, feminine waves took the Emmy fashion factor to the limit.

Star Marcia Cross was nothing desperate about Desperate Houswives. She looked like a little girl’s hope to be a beautiful ballet dancer in her dress by Ellie Saab.
Top of the short hoopskirt dress with off-the-shoulder was made of tulle re-embroidered with lamé guipure. The dress was accessorized with Beige taffeta belt. This outfit is part of the Fall/Winter 08/09 collection shown at Paris Fashion Week.
The dress looks great with Marcia’s hair and skin tone. It makes her look years younger but very urban at the same time!

Marcia Cross’s co-star Nicollette Sheridan chose for a purple strapless floor-length gown. She picks another hot fall 2008 color – purple. This color works it well on 60th annual Emmys red carpet. The long dress, which closed Angel Sanchez fall 2008 catwalk show earlier this year, looks perfect relative to the red carpet and distinctly makes Nicolette to stand out.

Christina Applegate from Samantha Who? (she’s also nominated for lead actress of a comedy series) is lookin’ hot in her icy Reem Acra wrap dress with beautiful golden print.
She is recovering from breast cancer surgery, but she looked like Grace Kelly in that vintage evening gown. Christina couldn’t find a better choice to make her statement. It’s great to see her healthy and smiling, and this gown’s complimenting her personality in such a classy and bold way.
I think Applegate was one of the best dressed of the night,” said stylist Marie Alice Stephenson. “She was glamorous, elegant and she pushed it.”

Christina Hendricks, the Mad Men actress, has her sexy red carpet look down in this flowy green Goddess dress that highlights her sensory curves.
She did her 1960s-era Mad Men character justice in a curve-hugging emerald green gown, which complemented her red hair that she wore in a up-style twist.

The petite vixen Eva Longoria from Desperate Housewives went too short for leisure in a metallic micro gown that felt like a costume piece from Dancing with the Stars. Her fringed ombre Marchesa frock from Spring 2009 collection isn’t a typical red carpet gown. The dress adorned with an oversized bow at the bodice. But guess what – it did stand out and fitted Eva’s compact physique. Eva’s pointy silver pumps, metallic clutch, and teardrop earrings all match and redouble the view.

Supermodel Heidi Klum looks totally fab and so luminous in this great beaded dress.
Heidi had a chance to take the most risks, as she was hoped to adopt many looks throughout the night. She planned no fewer than six as she extended her red carpet walk in a custom Giorgio Armani Prive gunmetal metallic dress with a one-shoulder.
“It was a mature choice for what Heidi normally wears,” said Klum’s stylist Maryam Malakpour, but Armani won her over by sending a personal note to congratulate her on her “Project Runway” nomination.
Congratulations to Heidi Klum for topping my Most Beautiful Dressed list tonight!
