It must be difficult to appear at a few events that follow one after the other. But some of our favorite celebrities did have to, as on Sunday they celebrated BAFTA 2010 and yesterday (February 22) Elle Style awards 2010 were held in London.

Kristen Stewart was one of those who attended this event. The actress wore a Pucci Origami Strapless Wool Dress that looked good on her. Kristen felt happy at the ceremony as she was named the Woman of the Year.

Naomi Campbell looked fantastic in Alexander McQueen’s dress and a pair of perfect black heels. The supermodel received the Outstanding Contribution award for all her charity job.

Leona Lewis looked classy in a black frock complimented with a black hat, lace fingerless gloves and beige shoes. The attire was gorgeous but it seems to me Leona looks older in it.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen looked beautiful and trendy in their outfits probably created by themselves.

Diane von Furstenberg was impressed when she saw the first designs of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The designer, who is the president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, says she wanted to support young designers and when the twins showed her their creations she immediately decided to help them. Despite the fact many of the industry’s big names objected, Diane has never regretted her decision.
She said:
When I became president I wanted to create a support group for designers – young or old. Mary-Kate and Ashley take their fashion very seriously. I was very surprised when I saw their line. It’s very impressive.”

Back in 1962 when the now popular international flip flops brand Havaianas was created, nobody could imagine that styles inspired by the Zori, typical Japanese sandals, would be sooo huge for years and eventually become an ultimate casual footwear must have for millions of people round the world.

The Havaianas trademark feature, that was also inherited from the Zori, is rice straw soles as all the flip flops have a textured rice pattern on all foot-beds.

Traditionally, Havaianas don’t lose shape, don’t smell (that’s important!) and straps don’t get loose, but what we love about them is their up-beat mood and real color explosion in designs.
New prints, colors and models appear almost every year, but there’s one thing we’re 100% sure about – these Brazilian Flip Flops keep winning hearts of more and more fashionistas who choose Havaianas as the number one pick casual footwear brand.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen keep on with their designing projects.
We have recently told you that the sisters launched a line of sunglasses. And now we can say about their children’s line, named Olsenboye. I just wonder when do they do all that? Or to create a line of clothes so little time is needed?

Anyway the line was made in collaboration with US department store JC Penneys and is going to be more affordable than the other two ranges the Olsens have – The Row and Elizabeth & James. The line is to hit the shelves in spring 2010.

The Olsens have designed a line of sunglasses.
There are only four styles in it but all of those are vintage inspired.

The movie-star twins are to launch the collection in collaboration with top eyewear maker Linda Farrow. The sunglasses will range from $325 to $390 each and be available through the Olsens’ luxury label The Row.
Mary-Kate and Ashley described their new creations as “sleek and sassy”. The collection includes a classic aviator, 60s inspired round glasses, an oversized square frame and vintage inspired brow-line shades.
The new range will hit the shelves in spring 2010 and will be a test line. The sisters want to see how the designs sell before expanding the range next year.
We’re testing the market first and obviously these are four very different silhouettes, so we’re seeing what people are responding to and we’ll open up a couple more silhouettes for autumn,” Ashley said.

As for me, the new cover featuring the popular girl Ashley Olsen, 23, on Marie Claire September 2009 is not the best.
She’s been a star — and an utter mystery — since babyhood. As Ashley Olsen puts the finishing touches on her new clothing line, she gives Marie Claire unprecedented access and reveals a surprising new side.

Am I right? She looks tired with dark circles under her eyes. In real life she is more beautiful than in n this picture.

In the new Fall Fashion issue of Marie Claire she talks about her fashion secrets. In the magazine you can read about Olsen Twins and see hot pics. Pics more interesting than the cover one, actually.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) presented 31 new fashion designers including Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Maria Pinto and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Diane von Furstenberg is a recent CFDA president and she has chosen to up the quantity of new designers initiated every year – 28 and 31 over the past two years respectively, against fewer than 20 under previous leaders.
The famous twins have entered American fashion through their labels The Row, called after Saville Row in London, their lusted, custom-made line of luxe wardrobe staples and Elizabeth and James – their directional, mid-range brand, named after their younger brother and sister.
Diane’s whole approach to fashion and design is inclusiveness,” CFDA executive director Steven Kolb told WWD. “She always refers to the CFDA as her extended family.”
The new designers will be welcomed with an intimate dinner at Manhattan’s Four Seasons restaurant on October 21.
America’s top designers have also been acknowledged by the European fashion industry.
Alexander Wang and Thakoon have been nominated for the Swiss Textile Award.
They are up against British designers Erdem and Peter Pilotto for the € 100,000 prize, which was won by Rodarte in 2008.

A 22-year-old film star and a designer Ashley Olsen has announced that she’s going to quit her acting career and focus on the fashion industry.

She tells VMAN magazine,
I’ve been transitioning from acting as a kid to doing something that I’m choosing for myself – to be part of the fashion industry. That’s what I want for my future. It has nothing to do with my past, nothing to do with anyone else’s agenda. And I followed my heart the whole way. The Row is really something that I’m doing while my sister still wants to focus on acting. She’s my partner in The Row, but she trusts me with the everyday. I mean, I see her like 10 times a day.”
Currently Ashley runs two labels, The Row and Elizabeth and James, with her sister as a rather indifferent partner.
Ashley says that Mary-Kate prefers to continue concentrating on acting, and leaves the daily business and details to Ashley.
So, what can I say? Ashley certainly feels fashion, and I wish her good luck!

The Row – is the name of the new up-coming menswear clothing line from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Vogue.com reports.

Ashley Olsen said: “When we looked in the men’s market, we couldn’t really find basics you could wear with designer – the same concept as our women’s. So we started the process with pants and blazers, because we knew it would take time to get that right.”
So the line is pointed at the older half of the men. The twins derived inspiration from their favorite menswear designers including Lanvin and Tom Ford.
Vogue also adds that the pieces will be developed “with the same premise and aesthetic as the women’s collection”.
Olsens are not going to promote the line themselves. “I prefer to be behind the scenes because I really believe the product can speak for itself.” – Ashley said.
The prices will start from $200 for a T-shirt up to over $3000 for a coat.
Let’s wait and see The Row!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen can do all they want!
They never run out of new ideas!
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, from Forbes’ richest celebrities list, presented their coffee table book named Influence, filled with photos and essays on the twins.

Editor Derek Blasbery writes in the forward that the making of the book followed a simple routine:
Mary-Kate and/or Ashley Olsen would pick me up and take me to a location where a scheduled interview would take place with a creative visionary.”
One version of the 272-page hardcover book released October 28 will feature Mary-Kate on the cover, with Ashley on the back, while the other version swaps their positions.

The book also includes interviews of the 20 profiles mainly covering fashion designers Karl Lagerfeld, Diane Von Furstenberg, John Galliano and Christian Louboutin, as well as model-actress Lauren Hutton.
Here are some quotes from the interviews:
-Mary-Kate went as a Japanese bondage girl to a NYC Halloween party last year. Ashley was a little vampire girl in a Victorian dress.
