Kylie Jenner, who has repeatedly told us she wanted to be a model, walked Avril Lavigne’s Abbey Dawn runway yesterday. To my surprise (I considered her least attractive of all the family members) she looked very beautiful on the catwalk. She wore a black mini-dress with a tulle, ballerina-like overlay and a pair of black shoes.

Of course Kylie Jenner’s big sisters – Kourtney and Kim – as well as siblings Kendall and Brody, attended the Avril Lavigne’s fashion show. They all sat in the front row and accompanied Kylie with supportive screams and remarks.

Before the show the Kardashioans took to Twitter to support Kylie and wishe her good luck at the debut. Mother Kris Jenner wrote: “Hey @brodyjenner take care of your baby sister @KylieJenner whos walking in @avrillavigne ‘s fashion show tonight in NYC!! Good luck Kylie.”

Brody Jenner, 28, posted: “Gonna need to get a Nap in before this evenings festivities.. Gonna be awesome watching my little sis @KylieJenner walk the carpet!!” He also tweeted at sister Kim: “@KimKardashian gonna be good times.. She is gonna kill it!!”

Singer-turned-designer Avril Lavigne and her label Abbey Dawn will show off their skater clothing line at New York Fashion Week in September. As the brand is going for expansion the line that only made T-shirts and accessories will include now dresses, denim, skirts, bags, eyewear, footwear, etc. Of course the line is expected to bear Avril Lavigne‘s signature style which includes graffiti prints, skulls, lots of pink, and sporty wear.

Avril Lavigne and Abbey Dawn will also present a full menswear collection at Style 360-Metropolitan Pavilion on September 12.

In other news pop icon-designer Gwen Stefani reportedly may be absent from her own labels’ show this Fashion Week due to more pressing matters. L.A.M.B. spokesperson said the decision is yet to be made but the star has a too busy schedule. It was also announced that Gwen Stefani is to team up with Target to create an affordable clothing line called “Harajuku Mini” for children and teens.

Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed. Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices.

Non-surprisingly Lady Gaga is to launch her own fashion line or “wearable” designs with her younger sister Natali Germanotta, 19 who has finished a first year of study at Parsons, The New School for Design, NY and has also appeared in Gaga’s Telephone video featuring Beyonce. Natali Germanotta is described as “even edgier” than her sister

Gaga came up with the idea of remodelling the styles of classic icons from the past, for example Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Katharine Hepburn.

Natali loved the idea and she’s coming up with a slew of design options but, of course, everything will have their own iconic twist on it,

a source told Grazia magazine. Though the news are unofficial there are already hints on how the collection will look like. Iconic Marilyn Monroe dress is said to be in rubber version while Audrey Hepburn’s black iconic dress will reportedly feature a plunging neck.

First of all she offered Mr Burton to write a song for the movie and she finally did that. When the song was ready Avril didn’t feel satisfied. She made up her mind to design a clothing line inspired by the story. And now the singer-turned designer has launched her junior Alice in Wonderland collection as a part of Abbey Dawn line.

Speaking about the new range Avril said:

I went through binders of images from the film to get inspiration for the clothing. We ended up using a lot of the floral prints, which were the flowers with the faces, and the verbiage like ‘Shrink me.’ It was kind of like anything and everything. My favourite is the white T-shirt with the rabbit stopwatch on it because it’s the iconic stopwatch.”

As we can see at the pics the collection is rather diverse and includes pieces in black and bright pink. The T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, dresses and other items in the line are rather affordable, they all come under $50.

Avril felt very excited at the launch party. She said:

I am a huge fan of the Alice in Wonderland story and am beyond thrilled that Disney has joined this venture with Abbey Dawn to celebrate the launch of Mr. Burton’s film. Kohl’s is a great partner for my brand, and together we look forward to bringing this limited-edition product to our customers.”

The film that premiered yesterday (February 25) in London would certainly become a hit. Both kids and adults will watch it with pleasure, expecially taking into consideration the cast.

Gorgeous Anne Hathaway played the role of the White Queen. On the red carpet at the premiere at the Odeon Leicester Square the actress looked stunning. Her face was pale white (Not like in the movie, of course, but still very pale.) and played a great contrast with her dark brown hair, bright makeup and a brown sparkly dress created by Vivienne Westwood.

It was raining and Anne had to sashay along the red carpet in her beautiful strapless dress. She tried to show the rain was nothing to her and even said she ‘loved’ it.

There was another girl who looked as perfect at the event – Avril Lavigne. She attended the premiere because her song Alice plays over the movie’s end crdits. Her long black dress and a dazzling diamond necklace looked fabulous on her.

Now it’s 2010 and Avril is still working, that’s good. In September last year the Canadian singer presented her line at New York Fashion Week. The collection was received well, though there were a few negative responses too.

Fashion journalists criticized the range by saying it was not new, not special or surprising. But Avril doesn’t listen to those offensive remarks. She knows that there can never be only success and love. Everyone goes through difficulties to get what he wants.

Avril likes her collection and is happy to talk about it.

She says:

[There’s a] lot of hot pinks and blacks and stars and purple and zebra. Basically, everything I wear. I have a very particular style. I want it to be available to a lot of girls, and I want it to be affordable. What’s really important to me is that everything fits well and is well-made, so I try everything on and approve it all. The hoodies are slimming. It’s not a thick, bulky material.”

Now we have a chance to see the new Abbey Dawn collection being modeled by Avril herself.
The clothes are all in rock-and-punk style with all those prints and bright colors. Jeans, hoodies, T-shirts, sneakers, leggings and suchlike pieces are what the collection includes. Looks lovely and youthful, an dalso feminien, something we couldn’t expect.

These clothes will have a great success with young generation – teens and young people in their 20s – who like to look cool and feel comfortable.

The new collection will be presented in two weeks and will be a very close version of the singer’s own rock and roll fashion.

The line features layered tees and leggings with cartoon skull graphics.

We have a really cute zebra hoodie with ears and I’m like, ‘Can I fit into the extra-large? Because I really like these!’” Avril Lavigne says.

Also the rock singer will launch her first perfume with Proctor & Gamble called Black Star later this summer.

It has been a pretty cool experience. It’s so me in a bottle….hahaha! I love the packaging,” she announced on her official site.

The fragrance contains notes of pink hibiscus, black plum and dark chocolate.

The scent will be available in Europe from July, North America in Autumn and Asia in 2010.

The new perfume will be available as Eau de Parfum 15ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml, as well as body lotion, deodorant and shower gel.

I’m normal and it hurts 10 times more because I can’t numb it,’ she explained. ‘You know you read it and I’ve never tried to be that kind of girl. The last thing I want to do right now is read about how fat I am.’

Avril Lavigne posed for a photo shoot of her own new juniors’ clothing line – Abbey Dawn on January 26.

The 24-year-old Canadian singer took her childhood nickname for the label.

Talking about the collection, the rock star emphasized that there’ll be “a lot of hot pinks and blacks and stars and purple and zebra. Basically, everything I wear. I have a very particular style. I want it to be available to a lot of girls, and I want it to be affordable. I walked through (a Los Angeles) Kohl’s the other day and said, ‘Oh, when my line is here it’s totally going to stand out.”

Miss Lavigne talked about her designing: “I actually am the designer. What’s really important to me is that everything fits well and is well-made, so I try everything on and approve it all. I’m making sure that I think people in their 20s are going to wear it because it’s going to be a sexy fit, not just, ‘Oh, T-shirts and hoodies.’ The hoodies are slimming. Ashlee Simpson said she’d like to create her own clothing line too! She has already entered the design game, recently made a collection of T-shirts for U.S. retailer Wet Seal.

Fashion is always something that’s fun for me,” Simpson said in an interview Saturday.

In the near future, I’ll be designing my own clothes as well, so I’m looking forward to that.”

Simpson said she has her own unique style but confesses to being an admirer of Deborah Harry’s look.

She was definitely sexy but wasn’t trying to be and I loved that,” Simpson said of the Blondie singer.

Ashlee enjoys knitting but says there aren’t any immediate plans to skill any baby booties for her new roll of joy when he or she arrives in late fall.

I really like to do it (knitting) but I always kind of have a hole in it. I don’t have anything made yet for my baby but maybe I will.”

Simpson still has fashion on the front burner as she takes on the role as the face of a Canadian clothing line, she is the spokeswoman for the relaunched Request line, an affordable apparel brand comprising casual and dressy separates.

Canadian punk rock star Avril Lavigne also launches Abbey Dawn Clothing Line: “It’s Absolutely My Wardrobe,” she said.

The collection consists of skirts, hoodies, skinny jeans, and T-shirts and features a lot of stars, skulls, zebra print and checkers, according to Avril. She also plans to add sunglasses and handbags to the collection, which is available in stores now.

Every eight weeks I have new pieces coming into the store,” Avril Lavigne told MTV News. “So we’re designing like crazy — like, tons of stuff — and it’s so much fun.”

It was a great opportunity for me to do this, and now that I’m older and more into fashion and stuff, I’ve put together a cute little line. It’s totally my style and everything I would wear. It’s absolutely my wardrobe.”

My dad gave me the nickname Abbey Dawn when I was a little girl,” she said. “It was a street he saw. And all my friends in high school called me Abbey. I always really liked the name. I didn’t know if maybe I would name my girl Abbey if I had a girl one day, or a song name. So I had a clothing line first, so I named it Abbey Dawn.”

The singer’s very pleased to ultimately see her outfits on fans and doesn’t even mind when they come to her concerts in the same thing she’s dressing.

I’ve seen some of the fans at my shows wearing my shirts, and sometimes I’ve been onstage wearing [one of the shirts],” she said, “and they have the same one on, and I’m like, ‘Hey, nice shirt,’ and I get really excited.
