She’s been a regular participant of the show at the Bryant Park tent for the last five seasons.

But last week it was confirmed that she decided to forgo staging her typical runway show for 1,000 retail buyers, media and celebrities at fashion week’s official venue.

The designer could not be reached for comment and her spokeswoman declined to comment on the reason she is not showing in Bryant Park.

Probably it is the same as Carmen Marc Valvo’s, who also refused to show his fall 2009 collection. He said it is the costs that don’t allow him to present his line in February.

Ms. Johnson’s spokeswoman said that the designer still plans to stage a show or presentation but has not decided on the format or location yet.
