Vibrant colors, ecentric designs and a creative approach to everything made this show unforgettable. Gorgeous Kelly Osbourne opened up the parade wearing a bandanna on her face. But then she suddenly tore it off and the audience realized that it was Wild West that had inspired the line.

Betsey said: “I’m working on my stuff, being very true-blue Betsey.” And it really was her but about 45 years ago!

I love the color palette: bright pink, burning scarlet, shining yellow, luxurious fuchsia and lots of other vivid hues that remind me about summer, childhood and fairy-tale characters. Dressed in colorful tutus, catsuits, faux fur jackets, funny frilled bloomers and other suchlike outfits the models looked cheerful and boisterous.

The designer claims the clothing can be worn at any season: “We’re not in seasons anymore, anyway. We’ll show a little bit of now and a lot of later.”

Yes, it’s the that I’m talking about! It comes as an alternative for the classic and exceptionally elegant Little Black Dress. We all know that LBD is a sophisticated classics that looks well both at a prom and a formal dinner.

But when we think about spring that is already with us, LBD is something you probably want to forget about. Black is great and it’s chic but it seems too dull in spring and summer when everything is so bright and lively.

What designers want to offer to us is another classic – it’s going to be called LWD or !

Many couturiers have introduced this optimistic color to make us forget about all those problems we are experiencing today, I mean the economic recession that is always on our minds.

Besides, white is extremely feminine and very flirty. Wearing it you will always look perfect!

But what is LWD like? Basically it’s just a white dress with the skirt no longer than a knee point. It can be of any style, with any kind of embellishment or adornment.

Modern collections include nice examples of laconic minimalism. Minimalism means minimum details of any type, a simple, modest but still beautiful dress.

Look at Calvin Klein and MaxMara shown below. Very simple designs, no pleats, ruffles or embellishments, just pure sophistication.

Another good example of a is a nice plain dress with tiny prints or little embroidery: and . Despite the fact the may seem too ordinary they look very elegant.

is not going to present her collection for the runway-show at the in February.

She’s been a regular participant of the show at the Bryant Park tent for the last five seasons.

But last week it was confirmed that she decided to forgo staging her typical runway show for 1,000 retail buyers, media and celebrities at fashion week’s official venue.

The designer could not be reached for comment and her spokeswoman declined to comment on the reason she is not showing in Bryant Park.

Probably it is the same as Carmen Marc Valvo’s, who also refused to show his fall 2009 collection. He said it is the costs that don’t allow him to present his line in February.

Ms. Johnson’s spokeswoman said that the designer still plans to stage a show or presentation but has not decided on the format or location yet.

Tights have always been used to complement ladies’ outfits.

Now they are no more an accessory, they are a solo fashion trend. And you put them on to brighten up your looks and make yourself more noticeable rather than just to match your dress.

Blue tights

There are classical styles that are always popular. For example, herring-bone pattern, check, stripe, floral and geometrical décor.

Evening pantyhose have a metallic gloss, ornamented with spangles or patterns. Tights for everyday use have to be elegant and monotone.

And, of course, black tights, that are fashionable all year round. Just scroll through winter collections by Anna Sui, Oscar De La Renta, Chanel or Emma Cook and you will certainly see black tights with slight glossy effect.

However, the basic trend of tights fashion for this season is unusual combination and mix of colours and styles.

Bright colours. This autumn and winter tights of these tints are must-have items of your wardrobe. You can find them in Ioannis Dimitrousis and Richard Nicoll’s collections.

Bright opaque pantyhose are presented by Basso & Brooke, Eley Kishimoto, Pucci, , Jasper Conran, Moschino and Sonia Rykiel.
