Beyonce has mentioned recently that she has been planning to add a maternity collection to her House of Dereon fashion label. And now she’s explained her desire to Harpers’ Bazaar (November 2011). She has also shared on what styles she prefers to wear while she is expecting.

Beyonce told Harper’s Bazaar:

All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman. It’s been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering – but I still rock my stilettos.”

The singer, who appears on two different covers for the November 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, said she wanted people to know about her pregnancy from her, not from the media. So, she took her time to think it over and choose the right outfit for the announcement. It is rumored she looked through 70 dresses until she finally chose the one – orange Lanvin gown.

Beyonce commented:

I put a lot of thought into how I wanted to unveil it. It was important to me that I was able to do it myself. I was extremely nervous. It was the toughest red carpet I ever did. I didn’t want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news, so I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump. I felt it was more powerful to see the love and enthusiasm as opposed to saying anything.”

In the interview for Harper’s Bazaar Beyonce has told about her attitude to her husband Jay-Z:

We have been together since I was 20 years old…’ she said. ‘I respect him so much; he is a great man and a great artist.”

She continued:

We focused three years on our marriage and found that it brought us an even stronger bond and connection… The best thing about marriage is the amount of growth you have because you can no longer hide from your fears and insecurities. There’s someone right there calling you out on your flaws and building you up when you need the support. If you are with the right person, it brings out the best version of you.”

Beyonce says now it’s just the perfect time for her to become a mother:

It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my relationship, and my self-worth, before I became a mother. Now God has blessed us with the ultimate.”

Kanye West can be a great musician and an ardent fashion fan but he’s no way a designer. He proved it to everyone at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday (October 1). A huge crowd of screaming girls greeted him before the show and his true friends including Rihanna and Beyonce supported him backstage. But all those efforts were simply in vain because the collection Kanye presented was plain and boring. Clothing was ill-fitting and unstylish.

I didn’t really expect much from Kanye West’s Spring/ Summer 2012 collection but what we saw on the runway at Paris Fashion Week was just a weak attempt to play a designer game. Moreover, I can almost feel the disappointment designers in the front row – Azzedine Alaïa, Dean and Dan Caten, Olivier Theyskens, Jeremy Scott, and the Olsens – felt during and after the show.

A few dresses which Kanye West showcased during his Spring/ Summer 2012 show revealed too much flesh and didn’t look sexy at all (But they were very Rihanna style…) probably because the fitting wasn’t right.

Despite the fact it was a spring/ summer collection there was too much fur and leather in it. There were leather trousers in patches of blue, red and black, blue jeans and glittering silver pants. Tops came loose, some knitted, others made of sheer fabric like organza. And there were jackets… shapeless and totally destroying a woman’s figure…

Shoes in Kanye West’s Spring/ Summer 2012 were horrendous – enormous-looking and totally unattractive. And the only accessory the girls were wearing were the necklaces with KanyeWest name on them.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a cover girl for Elle September 2011 issue. The looks trim and glam in the photo shoot wearing Christopher Kane, Tom Ford and Louis Vuitton creations. The issue features two covers and a photo set shot by Carter Smith. Paltrow looks great and talks marriage, career, and being herself. After a long time playing serious and melodramatic roles the actress has found that she doesn’t care what others will think of her if she showed her real more fun side.

On her performance with Cee Lo Green at the Grammys and Beyonce: “Beyoncé’s like, ‘Okay. The singing is great. But you’re not having any fun.’ She’s like, ‘Remember when we’re at Jay’s concert and Panjabi MC comes on and you do your crazy Indian dance? Do that. Be you!’”

On taking smaller and funner roles: “I can do short jobs. If I was still starring in three movies every year, there’s no way that I’d be the person my kids want when they fall down.”

“I’m sick of doing the crying-in-my-soup part. I want to laugh. I want to sing. The main thing is, I want to have fun.”

On Chelsea Lately: “Doing Chelsea Handler is like doing Howard Stern: You’ve gotta rise to the occasion. It’s good to shock people who think of me as the prim Gwyneth Paltrow.”

On being more herself: “If you speak to my friends who’ve known me since I was four, they’ll say, ‘That is her.’ They always said to me, ‘You’re the dirtiest person in the world and so funny. Show the world that side of you.’ I felt guarded. I felt like if I really showed people more of me and I was still not accepted, then…Who cares. You just realize it doesn’t matter what people think of you.”

Beyonce looked super chic in a bright orange dress from Lanvin Fall 2011 collection. Its flowing style made her look very very graceful. Despite announcing the baby news Beyonce still went to perform at the show sporting Dolce & Gabbana outfit with a purple glitzy tuxedo jacket from their Fall 2011 RTW collection.

Beyonce friend singer Kelly Rowland has opted for black mini dress from Falguni & Shane Peacock Fall 2011 collection with gold appliques and feathery front. It looks great on Kelly who has paired the dress with Christian Louboutin peep toe shoes.

Another best-dressed celeb was Selena Gomez who looked great in black lace Julien Macdonald mini dress with a long train. The bodice embroidery is amazing and the gold accessories add a bit of shine to the outfit. The gold gold Brian Atwood shoes perfectly match the Judith Leiber clutch and Ofira jewelry.

Katie Holmes looked relaxed and playful in her Azzedine Alaia in an intricate print that she paired with brown Proenza Schouler shoes with black lacing. I would opt for other shoes here but she still looks great.

Zoe Saldana looks gorgeous in her mini Barbara Bui dress from Fall 2011 at 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The dress/tunic has an embellished top and a plunging neck. The actress also wore Barbara Bui reptile skin sandals, black Lanvin clutch and Ofira jewelry.

Singer-turned-designer Avril Lavigne and her label Abbey Dawn will show off their skater clothing line at New York Fashion Week in September. As the brand is going for expansion the line that only made T-shirts and accessories will include now dresses, denim, skirts, bags, eyewear, footwear, etc. Of course the line is expected to bear Avril Lavigne‘s signature style which includes graffiti prints, skulls, lots of pink, and sporty wear.

Avril Lavigne and Abbey Dawn will also present a full menswear collection at Style 360-Metropolitan Pavilion on September 12.

In other news pop icon-designer Gwen Stefani reportedly may be absent from her own labels’ show this Fashion Week due to more pressing matters. L.A.M.B. spokesperson said the decision is yet to be made but the star has a too busy schedule. It was also announced that Gwen Stefani is to team up with Target to create an affordable clothing line called “Harajuku Mini” for children and teens.

Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed. Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices.

Non-surprisingly Lady Gaga is to launch her own fashion line or “wearable” designs with her younger sister Natali Germanotta, 19 who has finished a first year of study at Parsons, The New School for Design, NY and has also appeared in Gaga’s Telephone video featuring Beyonce. Natali Germanotta is described as “even edgier” than her sister

Gaga came up with the idea of remodelling the styles of classic icons from the past, for example Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Katharine Hepburn.

Natali loved the idea and she’s coming up with a slew of design options but, of course, everything will have their own iconic twist on it,

a source told Grazia magazine. Though the news are unofficial there are already hints on how the collection will look like. Iconic Marilyn Monroe dress is said to be in rubber version while Audrey Hepburn’s black iconic dress will reportedly feature a plunging neck.

Beyonce appears on the cover of InStyle September 2011 issue. Looks like Dolce & Gabbana hit the right note with their star print as every other magazine has featured it on their cover while celebs went out to the red carpet wearing different variations of it from Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2011 collection. But anyway Beyonce looks great in her mini starlit dress, sparkly, so her style. The singer also look very lively and happy.

The photo shoot has taken place in a beautiful mansion. Beyonce changed from her starlit dress to a deep red evening gown, OMO Norma Kamali swimsuit paired with Dior fur bolero and Ernesto Esposito heels (pic below). And she also made some shots with a carpet python twining around her wrists. Fearless.

In the interview with the magazine Beyonce said about having no regrets for working hard and giving herself to the fullest to her career because now she can think about family and kids:

I have no regrets because my job kept me focused. When you’re young—18 or 19—you have the energy and drive. That’s the time to work as hard as you can. Now I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children.

Singer has also admitted to watching Jersey Shore while on break: “In my free time I prefer to do nothing but sit on the couch and watch TV”. “I have to confess that my guilty pleasure is Jersey Shore.”

Beyonce said:

There were a lot of women in the audience in burkas. They were singing along to Irreplaceable – it was amazing! Some of the men got really upset! They were like to their women, “We have to get you out of here!”….I guess some of them (men) do get annoyed. But I never want to do “the banner thing”.

Talking about feminism Beyonce admits she definitely is the feminist but it’s all quite natural for her. The singer commented:

I don’t really feel that it’s necessary to define it. It’s just something that’s kind of natural for me, and I feel like…you know…it’s, like, what I live for. I need to find a catchy new word for feminism, right? Like Bootylicious.”

When asked about any women she admired Beyonce told Harper’s Bazaar that her role model was a friend, Gwyneth Paltrow:

She pushes her boundaries all the time. You go to her house and she makes you feel like you never want to go home. She is what I strive to be one day.”

Gwyneth replied to the praise:

She is what it means to be a superstar. No one else can sing and dance like that, while having humor and genuine bursting sweetness. She has her own recipe for it… I wanted my own character (in Country Strong), to have some of that mega-wattage. So I studied B. She was my homework.”

Tom Ford sent his models down the runway in chic and sophisticated clothing, that I’m sure will sell out pretty fast. It seems like Tom Ford has spent years planning and researching the need and the trends of the market not for nothing.

The singer spent $350,000 on world-known bags. And, he spent a few hours buying stuff at Hermes. He even had to have lunch at the store. After Jay-Z had missed his lunch reservation at Nello the managers of the restaurant decided to deliver the food to the place the star was doing shopping at. How cute.)))
