27 year-old Alyssa Sutherland, a former face of Nars, Bvlgari, Chanel Cosmetics - and one of 10 cover stars edition of Madison magazine in Australia, has just launched ad campaign for Calvin Klein’s new collection for yoga Performance and her own “webisode” series.

The row is a new hip line of spandex yoga outfits.

It is a derisive catchphrase, as the performance of yoga is actually based on little or no movement.

These black and white photos of model Alyssa Sutherland in various yoga poses were taken by photograph Nathaniel Goldberg for ad agency Full Contact.

The model is a big yoga fan and she says it demands great strength, focus and balance to master yoga.

Industry press say the new campaign could bring US$50-100K.

Although the model has worked for Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Moschino, Yves Saint Laurent and, more recently, Calvin Klein. Sutherland also says she is looking to making the transition into acting.

Drew Barrymore, 33, is very patriotic and beautiful on the November 2008 cover of Harper’s Bazaar. The Charlie’s Angels actress makes a declaration in this upcoming election issue.

Drew confesses, she is a proud Democrat and supporter of Barack Obama.

Drew talked politics, and endorsed Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama.

On how Obama made her cry:

When I heard him speak about a gay person never having to sit outside the hospital room with their loved one sick inside, I burst into tears because so many people I care about are homosexual and it was profound to have someone be sensitive to that. That’s the kind of world I want to live in, where we’re not holding our own principles in judgment above someone or against someone.”

On what she thinks of John McCain:

John McCain “is a good person, and he does care, but he has voted against things that are shocking as far as people’s liberties and economic choices.”

On Sarah Palin:

I think people realize the intention of the choice.

On her thoughts on voting:

I was raised in a family — well, no family, really, so no one talked to me about politics or why voting is important. So my way to educate myself was driving around America and filming all sorts of people with different mind-sets. I became an avowed voter and feel it is really important to engage other people in it.”

Earlier in October, Drew was spotted kissing Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick at a the Kings of Leon concert in Manhattan.

On dating:

I’ve been single for months now, and I’ve turned my attention towards my passions, my friends and the causes I believe in.

I’ve learned to put myself second. I’ve had a couple of fun, frolicky relationships, but really, I got out of five-year-relationship and dated a few people here and there. Mostly it’s been about learning who I am, not through a man, but for myself.

I’ve been spending more time with my friends and doing more traveling with the U.N.” — she’s been to Kenya twice - “and challenging myself with work. I’m so happy with where my priorities are right now.”

After a string of sexy roles in movies for dudes, Eva Mendes is tapping her inner girl’s girl.

The latest endorser of Calvin Klein scent Eva Mendes, 33, graces the September issue of Marie Claire magazine. In the interviewfor the mag, the actress talks about everything from growing up in a conservation-minded to working class family to which women she admires in Hollywood and to her rehab experience.

Mendes’s first true blue chick flick The Women is all-girl-all-star-cast: Annette Bening, Meg Ryan, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett Smith, Cloris Leachman, Candice Bergen and Bette Midler. Calvin Klein muse revealed she was used to working with guys in films and suddenly found herself dressing up in rehearsals for the film surrounded by women. She says it inspires her to make herself “cute” because her co-stars are going to be cute.

Eva Mendes on women’s strained friendships with each other:

I don’t understand women who don’t like being with the girls. They say they’d rather be with the guys all the time? That it’s just so much easier? I’m calling bulls— on that.”

Eva Mendes on Annette Bening being a true role model:

She reminds me of one of those women back in the ‘40s and ‘50s. She’s a broad, and I want to be a broad. I mean, she’s like Ava Gardner or Bette Davis or Katherine Hepburn. Those women were broads. They said it like it was.”

Eva Mendes on her life growing up:

I was raised by parents who didn’t have much. We didn’t use whole pieces of paper towel. We shared, or used rags. Mom didn’t even want us flushing all the time.”

Eva Mendes on believing the public doesn’t need to know everything about where she lives and how long she’s been with her boyfriend:

Think about what this whole culture of celebrity has done to movie stars. It’s made them extinct. Actors used to carry films because people would have to actually go to the movies to see them. It was the only place. But now there’s none of that mystique, and so there’s less of a reason to buy a ticket.”

Eva Mendes, Calvin Klein’s new leading lady, has sat for a second round of ad campaigns, this time for Calvin Klein Underwear. Delicious ads for Seductive Comfort line by Calvin Klein Underwear will break in September in the U.S. in such magazines like Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, In Style, People, Latina, O, The Oprah Magazine and Interview, and then will hit other countries like Italy, Spain, China, South Korea and the U.K. in October.

This underwear line is ultimately different from the previous CK’s lines. It’s for ”curvaceous women.”

Tom Murry, Calvin Klein president and CEO said on Eva’s campaign:

This is a departure from more slender body types that have typically been used in Calvin Klein Underwear ads. But this is not so much about a trend of being more curvaceous. This [bra] product is made for a curvaceous woman.”

This is the second campaign Eva does for CK. The actress also fronts the brand’s new scent, Secret Obsession, of which the TV commercial was recently banned in the U.S. for being too racy.

Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American fragrances for Coty Prestige who produce the scent explained,

The Obsession brand resonates in a very provocative place. And we wanted to do a provocative ad. But we’re not trying to be raunchy. There’s a lot of skin, but it’s done tastefully.”

Mendes said about the campaign in one of the recent interviews,

To me, Calvin Klein has always represented sexiness and a freedom to express yourself.  That was especially important for me, because I felt very awkward during my teen years. When I was approached by Calvin Klein, I thought that it would be so satisfying for me to be part of a campaign where I could show women and girls that it’s okay to be different.”

Now Hot Model Garrett Neff, the face of Calvin Klein Man cologne and Calvin Klein Jeans, is also the body for the company’s underwear line for men.

In Miami was photoshoot by renowned fashion photographer Bruce Weber, who shot the first Calvin Klein Underwear campaign 25 years ago.. The young 23-year-old Garrett Neff stripped down for the new fall/winter ad campaign, which will be featured in magazines starting in September.

Neff is only the 10th male model to represent the line, joining the ranks of Mark Wahlberg, Freddy Ljunberg, Travis Fimmel and Antonio Sabato Jr.
